Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now
We’ve got families to feed
So can you tell me how
We’re supposed to do that
On what you’re paying us now

Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now

Is there no limit
To your corporate greed
If you’re gonna profit
While the rest of us bleed
Maybe capitalism
Isn’t what we really need
If the deck is stacked against us
How can we succeed

Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now

Trickle down economics
Never worked
The rich just get richer
While the poor get ******
We’re tired of kissing your ***
And being twirked
Now it’s high time
That we got perked

Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now

The money we earn
Is money well spent
We’re not the ones holding on
To every single cent
Wanna grow the economy
Well Congress here’s a hint
Pay us a living wage
If that your true intent

Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now

Before the sweat is dry
Off of our brow
We need to earn a living wage
We need to earn one now
We’ve got families to feed
So can you tell me how
We’re supposed to do that
On what you’re paying us now
