I'm in love with you.
You can't smell it.
You can't feel it, as I'm not there.
You could if I were.
I know you concur.
Kissing me is out of bounds.
Silence between us.
Most of the time.
Only the sounds of hearts beating in time from a distance.
We know each other are there.
Stroking your hair.
I recall laying with my head resting on your chest.
My arm cradling you as we slept.
The light of the morning arose.
So did you.
We kissed goodbye, awkwardly and then I left.
