In the morning when we rise
While the sleep's still in our eyes
We praise God for heaven's sake
Because we're healthy and awake
And we still can make amends
For our trespasses and sins
It's high time we recognize
He's the Highest of the Highs
He's the Highest of the Highs
He's the wisest of the wise
And it's time we recognize
His truth is on the rise
Come whatever or what may
He's what gets us through our day
God is with us heaven knows
Through our high times and our lows
But it seems that we forget
Just how much we're in his debt
