The darkness can't smother me
I won't turn out into the monster
I know I can be.  So much darkness
In my soul, I need to break my hold
And fly with the angels.

The monster is in my head
Waiting patiently to explode
For years it has plagued me
Into submission, I need to let
Go and fly with the angels

I look around and see the
Beauty in things, so much is there
The monster deep within can't
Take that away from me

Only if I let it...
