Reawakening of the Muse
I haven't surrendered myself to someone for far longer than a while,
but the photo that is stuck in my head
is of her and her sunny smile.
Months had passed,
we both had other loves that didn't last,
and as we lay together in the dark,
I swore I felt a spark.
I wonder if she felt it too.
It was cloudy, but we saw stars that night.
