The rain came in a frenzy
Of shattered storms
When he yelled at the gods
His voice shook the air
Quivered into an echo
Shape shifted into agreement
And fell silent

The sky an open apology
To his unanswered rage
Blue under its darkness
Absorbing every breathe he took
Wanting nothing more
Than to find praise in the fact that
We.. well we are still breathing
