Tell me what’s beyond your sight, when I gaze at you
Tell me what’s beyond your feelings when I touch you
Tell me what’s beyond your smile if I kissed you
Tell me what’s beyond your warmth when am close.
Tell me what’s beyond the walls when I lay you there
A cigarette with no smoke
I can’t imagine the color of your smile
When I crucify you there,
Tell me what’s beyond your clothes
If I tore them to pieces
“An impala or lioness?”
Its fortunate that your body speaks my language
Though with desperate shimmering
Tell me what’s beyond your skin
If mine ironed across yours
Do you run miles or a marathon?
For me to wish you success
Upon thy tabernacle.
