I can't cure the world
If I could I would
But it just isn't so
There are so many "shoulds"

I see the pain in your eyes
And I want to take it away
But I need to let you go
And live my life today

You was once a part of me
And I was a part of you
We traveled this road endlessly
And had all the time to be true

Now the feelings have strayed
And I'm so much hurting inside
But what is best for each other
Might take a lifetime to figure out
And I'm not prepared to stay
Putting us through misery
