What I decided to tell you
Is a true story
Fairy tales only give hope
And life must have it's disappointments

We knew each other once
Did you think I would stay the same?
I was just getting started
The arrow never lost its arc

You weren’t sure about me then
But you can forget the past
I left it behind long ago
I can’t get hung up on all that

Every word that comes to mind
Is about freedom
I can’t pretend to be any different
It’s the only way you’ll finally know
