I shall probably take a lifetime or two
to get over you.
You made me whole
you filled the gap
you read me like a map but
now you've gone and
gone is where I am.

Lifetimes of this man may pass, but nothing can compare to you,
my glass is emptied, all I see are the swirls of vision we used to be.

I shall take from this what I can,
but it'll probably take a lifetime or two
for this broken man to get over you.
