My heart screaming out for love
Love from you
I need you when I don’t want you
I have you when I need you

My heart screaming out for you
The love in my heart
Causing my heart to stutter
Every time I see you

When you walk by me and don’t see me
My heart stutters
Picking a faster beat

Looking at you as you get into your truck
Wondering where you’re heading
Me in my plain jeans and shirt
You in your work clothes

Black shirt
Blue jeans
And boots covered in mud

The heat simmering from the air
Can it get hotter?
Can it turn into steam?

Looking at me
As you go one way I another
Will we ever stop to talk?
Can we come together an say
What needs saying?

Plain little old me
Working you
How far apart we are
And close together we could be

Love heating up
Simmering in the summer air
Winter cold sitting side by side
Our love giving us warmth
