A smile is an accessory
An addition to ones face
Something you can wear
Or not if mood dictates

Where a smile comes from,
So depends upon the mood
Or upon who put it there
But can be misunderstood

Or was it placed to hide emotion
A brave face to grin and bare
When the holders real feelings
Are so far from what is shared

Was it spontaneous and unexpected
Did you see anothers face
Was it simply visiting
A grin that came and went

For a smile can be so many things
For some even a brand
Monroe knew how to use it
Though she was very very sad

The simple touch of another
Can curve the lips around
It can fill a room so bright
No other stands out

A smile can be contiguous!
Thank god there is no cure!
So keep up that smiling
This world needs more and more
