She lays between the tidal sands
not truly wanting to be on land
but she is mortally wounded
and she is dying in pain

Tears fill her eyes
she starts to cry
her flippers have been torn off
all because of a shark attack

Now here she slowly dies
can you hear her forlorn cries
her pups are across the bay
and starving they will stay

She tries to push herself back into the water
she so wants to feed her two young daughters
yet pints of blood she does spills
dying is this lonely crying seal
