True evil lurks
We may see what it does;
But it spans the gap
Of what is and what was.

Innocient illusions
Will lure to its web;
And before you’re aware
You’ll be chained to its bed.

Unseen are the demons
You’ll find behind smiles;
Beware of mine
Then a woman’s wiles.

Angers that flare
Pull down walls of trust;
And a desperate soul
Will do what it must.

Only one salvation
Will ever be true;
And it’s lingering there
It’s calling to you.

Beware my friend
Which voice do you hear;
One bathed in hope,
Or one clothed in fear?
