Anything or Anyone now is
his way of coping.
Entertaining, and using them. Hoping
that they fill the void.
But we both know
there won't be another.
So why bother?
Like that pacifier for the baby,
they'll silence the sadness.
For the time being.
But that can only last so long,
soon you'll come to your senses.
It'll all come crashing down and
you'll have to deal with those feelings.
So profound, and distinct.
This isn't what you hoped it'd be.
Letting them occupy your space,
all while trying to get rid of me.
Play time is over, time to face the truth.
You allowed artificial love to pacify you.
