The 'protty dog' and the 'cat lick'
religions and
their nicknames stick but
see within, under the skin and we
all begin to look
the same.
Miss Richardson, my R.E tutor at school on the odd occasions I went used to tell me that when she was a girl, which must have been a million years earlier, the Protestants were known as 'protty dogs' and the Catholics as 'cat licks' I
think she was brought up in Ireland.
