Start being a man, child

I can’t take you seriously

How can I ever respect you, when you act younger than me?

Be a man, child

Act your age

Fly from the nest

I know you’re afraid

We all must fly and spread our wings

So we can get out and explore new things

Be a man, child

I forever see the child in you

afraid to grow up

that’s what I sense in you

The world is harsh, the world is cold

Be a man, child

You gotta make it on your own

Respect

You gotta earn it

Life lessons

You have to learn them

They only make you stronger

Stop leaning on your parents shoulders

Because soon

They become colder

Be a man, child

you’ll go far

It brings you joy in life

More than you’ll ever know
