Dec 2014
That girl was a runner from birth,
and she would have run right to the end of her life
if it weren't for him.
He made her pause.
He made her immobile.
He kept her in a cage.
When it all ended, some thought that she'd stay-
too deeply sad to ever run again.
But I know better.
She would run even faster than before,
just making up for lost time.
