In the sleepless night skies I called,
To he who runs with stars in his veins,
She who seeks without light one kiss to thee,
And waits in the Black Forest trees,
a vortex in fusion he enters the earth sleep,
wafting of poets moon sparkles,
And of ocean salt I breathed deep
Eyes of coal dust and liquid ruby varnished lips,
And I offer one bite dripping in Jupiter’s flames,
Oh darkest spirit perfume that betrays thee,
Melodious vernacular drains a pulsing heart,
Hunting, hungry, pacing, sniffing mists before me
His mouth a deep sea snake and lava salt pools,
Nails emerge aching to inflict and coax blood forth,
A calling to wet flesh and searing stars are acid weeps,
Deeply, longing I crave to taste thee,
A shudder came o’er me
In seeping fragrant dark I have walked,
Stretching eternity,
Blanketed in empty space fire raised topaz eyes,
Shadows flashed in love frenzied throes,
Snake bitten a hot silver throat spied in darkness,
And by day doth all fade to grey,
I wail and thirsty love binds us in woe,
Ne’er were such leaves and stars on Black Forest trees,
That glittered garnet blood blinking with me
Moon shadow possess their own repose,
O blackest dying hours sewn by epiphany’s content,
Yet days of grey estrangement remain,
Would heaven seem best?
─ Or thy dark kiss once!
