You must've not liked the way I said your name
with such fervor and dependence,
I brought it down into the depths of Need,
I grabbed it like your tie and suffocated you as I pulled.
And I'm sorry,
No one's ever taught me how to handle a lover,
I thought I could say your name however I wanted to and true love would do its thing,
but I've seen more evidence of love's strategic nature than I've ever seen of
it's fabled purity.

The delicate mystery answered like a memory
part of the scenery, i bring no purposeful injury
discovery of a unity with such a simplicity
recovery of senses lost through our history

we are all only part land, part sea
every tiny particle is part of our key
every little mouse, every giant tree
I am part of you, and you are part of me

a cultural discovery of uncovered humanity
actively prolonging the agony of mankind's vanity
what is really living passively or living savagely?
simple serenity destroyed by our brutality

Me
I am a bird,
Flying so high.
I am a tree,
Branches reach to the sky.

I am a cat
With a cute little meow.
I am a lion
With a ferocious growl.

I am a pencil
With a point always sharp.
I am lined paper
Who's been ripped apart.

I am loose change,
I make lots of noise.
I am a statue,
I've got grace and poise.

I am a building,
Structured and strong.
I am a king
Who's never been wrong.

I am a flower,
Oh so unique.
I am a dancer
Who just reached my peak.

I am a human
With reason and thought.
I am a fish
Who's got not a lot.

I am an enigma,
Not yet figured out.
I am a dream
That's gone with a shout.

I am the darkness
With secrets I can't say.
I am the light
Shining bright every day.

I am whatever
I want to be.
But most importantly,
I'm always me.

There is a time and place where karma will take it's leap.
Just observed then you'll see.

A Thomas Hawkins
When Karma comes a calling
are you gonna run and hide
or quickly do the math first
while that knot forms up inside

or will you sit with open arms
a smile upon your face
knowing that your Karma's good
based on how you ran the race

or will you be like me
a nervous optimist lets say
I think I'm gonna be alright
long as Karma don't come today
i am filled with                 gratitude
joy                                       for life
love                                     for connection
peace                                  for forgiveness
serenity                              for things i cannot change
courage                              to face my fears
wisdom                              to ask for help
laughter                             while playing
life                                       to be present
