My Delightful Pain
Ocean Blue Dec 2014
<3

I know Someone,
Who lives across the Ocean,
Whose beautiful face
In my memory slowly fades.
But after I hear her voice,
- You might say this is hopeless -
It gives me no other choice,
All night to remain sleepless.
Hey, don't go back to the Blue
My Delightful Pain,
'Cause I can't stop loving You,
Again and Again...

Ocean Blue Nov 2014
Dearest,
Please close your eyes,
And for a while hold your sighs,
Imagine in twenty years
When our happy lives have reached
The limits of unknown frontiers,
Giving the signal for a new pitch,
Would you let me
Look at your face for an hour?
Would you show me
Your amazing smile forever?
Would you give me space
To prove that my heart melts for you,
You would even listen to its pace,
Before your eyes dive in my ocean blue.
And when our dreams have not died,
When love we can still explore
Will you be by my side,
When I'm sixty four?
Inspired by The Beatles' song "When I'm Sixty Four" and by (less known) Michel Berger's song "Seras-tu là?"

Ocean Blue Nov 2014
Give me your hand
Before the night falls
On my hopes and
On your dreams.
Let me take your heart
And trust me if you don't mind
Before we both fall apart
And let the feelings rewind.

Our book
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
We don't know
How many pages
It has until now
Or whether it will go for ages.
With four hands and keyboards
We have laid there
Our soul, our dreams, our odds,
Our memories, our hopes, our words.
Now, saddly I am alone
To smith sentences on the paper
And for us, to draw colors of the rainbow.
So, if you feel, come and join me
Back to our book, dreaming a common history.

It is time,
Madame,
To show your neck
To the blade
And tonight
To lose your head.

Decade
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
During a clear night of autumn,
At the other end of Europe,
You came to life
So easily, so peacefully
Without a strife
Even making me to worry.
You were already as you are now,
Quiet, secret, colourful,
Like all the stripes of a rainbow.
The very day
of your first birthday,
You started to walk.
When you were two,
You started to talk,
Your dark eyes
Searching in my ocean blue
Clues like united spies,
What is wrong, what can be true,
This innocent curiosity
I find challenging and funny.
When you were three,
You broke your arm.
When you were four,
We moved to another country,
Where you had to learn
To be a little Frenchy.
When you were five,
During a cold winter night,
You were sleeping
When our worst nightmare
Became reality.
When you were seven,
Your newborn sister took you to heaven.
Now, when you have too much of Elle
For a second, you are close from hell.
Now the years are passing by
Like speedy clouds in the sky.
You are growing,
Walking to school with friend,
Without knowing
That, to this race I would like to put an end.
Sometimes I regret
Not to take enough time
To tell you yet
How much I love you
How much I am proud of little you.
Stay as you are
In my night, be a star,
And let me say,
Happy Birthday.
"Decaded" to my son Denis, who turns 10 in a few hours. Hopefully, one day he will read this text, along with "Your Dad".

The patient man
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
Sitting on the edge of the world,
Dreaming of the clouds sailing away,
Remembering the shining pearl,
Not forgetting a single day
Of the whispered secrets,
That one considers a weakness.
Now my heart is not vacant
But... I am patient.

Newborn
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
One night full of stars,
During the last summer
You broke my prison bars
In a dream which is carved in me forever:
Standing on the shore of River Jordan,
You baptized me
With a name that says who I am:
Ocean Blue.
And to life I was brought by You.

A guess
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
I can read in your eyes,
What your words would not say.
What I've seen brings me to heights,
My heart and soul so far away.
Needless to blink,
It is too late, I have guessed
Give up your paper, feathers
And ink
I know that, by the angels
You are blessed.

Your Dad
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
I love to sit next to your beds,
Feel both of you breathe,
Smell your sweatie little heads
And guard the path to your dreams.
I like when your dark eyes dive into
My ocean blue.
I am your rock
Your stone castle on the horizon,
Later, these lines you will mock
At teenage and probably beyond.
One day to you I'll whisper
The story of your sleeping brother.
But in the meantime let me add
Clara and Denis
I'm so proud and happy
To be your Dad.

Your smile
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
What if we had met
In Florence, say five centuries ago
Would you have let
Me be your Leonardo ?
You gentle face I would have framed
In the back, a sfumato of Tuscany
You, I would have named
My Mona Lisa, smiling to eternity.

A secret
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
Please, come closer
I wish to feel you near
So I can whisper
Something in your ear.
Three little words I call a secret,
A commitment I don't dare to say
But if you press on my heart
You'll feel it anyway.

In a good Moon
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
Last night
I asked to the moon
If she would still want me.
She replied very soon
That she's not used
To deal with cases like me.
But she whispered
That if I wished
I could
Lift mountains.

Wish list n°2
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
I want to run with you
On the roof of the world
Through a misty forest
To break through
And at dawn wake up the deers.
I want to dry up your tears
When you are sad
I want to convince you
To give up your fears
And to tell you that
Never, never I've been mad
Or angry at you.
I want us to look in the same direction
And to have a common horizon.
I want to walk next to you
For a while, if life allows,
My heart melting your arrows.
Now I want to tell you
That if for you this is a burden,
You can, all of a sudden,
Tell me to stop these public wish lists
And, promised,
I will not insist.

Life
Ocean Blue Oct 2014
Running on the roof of the world,
Pushing further the limits of the breathing,
Singing and thinking of your smile,
Greeting the idea that you are mine,
Knowing that life is just starting,
Feeling the pulse of your heart,
Being indestructible,
And smiling at tomorrow's sunshine.

With people of your sort.
This life is mine.
I want to live it now.

The tree
Ocean Blue Sep 2014
Stop by for a while
You've had a long journey
Through the dust and the sun
of the Holy Land.
Have a sit under my leaves
Enjoy my shade
Feel no shame.
You see how I'm wise,
How old I am
You can touch my rough skin
You can count my rings
Multiplied along the centuries.
Take the blood of my fruits,
My oil will give you
Peace and health
Prosperity and Faith.
My love I can give to many.
I am the olive tree
Of Gethsemane.

The Last Man
Ocean Blue Sep 2014
When everyone else
Is gone
Beyond the clouds
When the world crumbles
And the life is done
I will be the one
Surviving
The forgotten promises
The disappointments
The lost summer
The fading smile
The daily headache
I will survive it all
Because I'm strong
Don't get me wrong.
Yes Madam,
I will be
The last man.

Last encounter
Ocean Blue Sep 2014
A few nights
After it happened,
During that sad winter,
She told him
A dream she had
The night before:
The One
Was standing near the hole
That was already
His forever home.
She tried to take his hand
To bring him back
Amongst the ones
Who were crying for him,
When a huge dog,
A black and silent shape,
Appeared out of nowhere
And
Prevented her to approach
Any further.
She could do nothing else
Than witnessing
The One
Going down into the hole
And lying there
In the garden of Eden
Quietly
Where he is still sleeping.
I wish I had this dream.

The lady presence
Ocean Blue Sep 2014
Everyday, it is there
Next to him, in him,
A presence he does not dare
To look straight in the eyes.
From early in the morning
Till late in the evening,
It gives him no chance,
To escape anywhere.
Sometimes it is stronger,
In his head it sounds like
The waves on the Basque coast,
Going backwards,
Coming back
Stronger than
he can sometimes bear.
His vision it sometimes alters,
Shaping black clouds around.
The lady in white
Told him not to worry
So he obeys.
But the lady in black
With the long scythe,
Standing behind,
Invisible in the dark,
Silently giggles,
Patiently waiting
for this new client,
To enlarge her circles.

Pieces of life
Ocean Blue Sep 2014
As his shining grey Alfa Romeo
Endlessly rolls on the side
In an appletree field in Bretagne,
After crashing on a truck,
That was not supposed to be stuck
There in the middle of the road,
Just minutes before dying,
He remembers pieces of his life.
The full life of a happy man
Who has a loving Italian wife
A gorgeous Austrian lover,
An unstable father,
A distant son whom he feels
He has not been close enough,
A best friend named François,
With whom he runs a company.
In a few minutes,
All this will be gone.
Disappeared from the earth,
Remaining only in the memory
Of a few ones.
In a last minute,
Surrounded by a white fog,
All characters of his life,
Appear in front of him,
Standing silently,
Sadly looking at him,
For a last au revoir.
Inspired by Paul Guimard's novel "Les Choses de la Vie" (1968), and the subsequent movie by Claude Sautet (1970), starring Michel Piccoli, Romy Schneider, Lea Massari, Jean Bouise...

That his first move
Would lead him there
With up and downs
Cold winds sometimes
And warming sun rays.

To reach the summit.
But a tiny voice tells him
It is worth
Using that way.

I want to kiss your tears
When you cry
I want to caress your cheek
When you smile
I want to sit in the back and look at you
When you teach
I want to catch a rainbow
And tie it in your hair
I want to be in your dream
When you sleep
I want to hear your voice
If it is your choice
I want to hold you in my arms
And tell you
I will not leave you
Because I want to be your friend
Forever
If my heart allows.
Now, read what follows:
I want to whisper
To your ear,
So I feel you near,
That if you forget me,
I switch off the light.

The other night
He dreamt he would do it
Finally he would
Start the long journey
Taking him to the white cloud
Leaving people around him
And across the ocean,
Wondering

Himself
Would not know the reason.
Then he woke up
And saw the fields of gold
Around him.

Fallen from the sky
Ocean Blue Aug 2014
She is perfect
Such an amazing shape
Her smile
Combined with her eyes
Makes me melt
Smile like silly,
Feel like a teenage.
She is nice
Never loosing temper
Never a word or a sentence that she would regret
Giving so much attention
Showing so much of true interest
Never faking, never playing politeness.
She is smart
Knowing so much on different things
And pretending to have to learn
So much more.
Sometimes at dawn
Across the Ocean
I tell her she is an angel.
An angel that has fallen from the sky.
And she laughs
She denies
She says no I am human
A simple, normal woman.
Who knows...

Question marks
Ocean Blue Aug 2014
Why, every day, does it hurt?
When I have not seen you for years.
Why do I feel you so close?
When the link is so loose.
Why do I miss you?
While in a deep sleep you fall.
Why do you appear so distant?
When every day you send enchanting words.
Why do I want to possess you?
When obviously it can't be true.
Why do I keep saying we are friends?
While, in my heart, you are more.
Why don't you **** my hopes?
When, without your presence, you could make it soar.
Why?
Hopefully the future will bring a few answers.

D for Distance
Ocean Blue Aug 2014
An ocean between you and me
Six weeks of common memories
Little things of you
So clearly I remember
Blurred feelings about me you say you keep
Though, so much together to be built
If we do not talk
It does not mean
That we don't miss each other.
If, for whatever reason,
We keep a distance
It does not mean
We forget each other.
Too late.
Your mind is in my neighborhood,
For good.

You
Ocean Blue Aug 2014
You
You appeared out of nowhere
Years ago on a warm evening in Europe
Your tiny and elegant shape, your short blond hair
Our relationship was sweet and short
Then, who knows how, we lost each other
Trails of life bringing us to different ends of the world.
Fifteen years and the dark tunnel was suddenly over
I found you, again, as if you were newly born
And you had not changed a bit
The very same smile
The same sparkle in the eyes
As if you were mine.
Thanks for being who you are
In my heart you will never be far,
My friend forever.

Roller coaster is over
Ocean Blue Jul 2014
There was a time
not a long time time ago
A time you were not always fine
When you would go
from one feeling to the other
My heart by these waves would be altered.
The roller coaster of your heart
Willingly I would board
Our moods at that speed would be hurt
These moves on my heart would be as a sword.
These mountains not anymore I can stand
I dream of a flat land
A river would run through it
The quiet river of our friendship.
So happy this phase is behind us...

At the other end of my world
That far she would not say
So far that it hurts my soul

She greets me with a Good morning sunshine
That instantly makes me feel fine
But when it is her turn for a few hours to disappear
Into sadness I am about to fall near.
