Silver and Iced Diamonds!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Silver and Iced Diamonds!

There are diamonds under the soles of my feet.
But I can never find them.
They live at the end of my nose.
My eyes are blind to see them.
Carbon light angels.
Unbreakable.
Undeniable.

I wear no beautiful diamond to glitter on my finger.
For in my life love runs away.
She truly doesn't linger.
I don't want diamonds anyway.

The ring I wore was silver.
Etched with words of love.
Love didn't get a chance to stay.
Sweet angel dashed off with true love.
His other darling lady.
The lady poetry.
Badly, madly,
Tragically sadly!

Forgiven and forgotten.
Poor chap.
A misfit in a memory.
Wearing just a jester's hat.

Playing with his tickle stick.
Thinks he is lacking a memory card.
At such great cost.
Upon the knees of bees.
He doth crouch.

Waiting for the axe to fall.
To lighten his burden.
'Off with his head', the queen of red said.
To respond to natures' call.
Waiting for a dismal end.

Where hanging out the let's pretends.
To blow away and make amends.
Says goodbye to his beautiful friends.
On his journey into the unknown.
Flying away in his star propelled craft.

Little Things Matter!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Little Things Matter!

Small is beautiful.
Little things mean such a lot.
The newborn scented baby laying in the cradle.
Wrapped up in mothers' love.

The tiny hummingbird flits before thine eyes.

Eyes of little children.
Smile in blind delight.
They never saw Santa.
When he visited that night.

A tiny little lady old.
Curled up upon the ward.
The immense amount of life and love.
Deep inside stored.
Waiting to die in a silent goodbye.
Taking her memories with her.

Some I'm sure.
Left with her kith and her kin.
Who keep loads more.
Under their skin!

One more tiny thing immense.
Consoles, controls the world.
Words of one two three maybe more.
My darling I love thee.
Please end all vile war!

Natural Process!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
It's dying you know.
In a scary dark dirge.
It's falling fast.

Was feeling mediocre.
Ages fly past.
From childhood to menopause.
Hell what a blast.
Some kind of supersonic speed.

Looking into the dark world of periods past.
Just took a breath.
Oops there went another.
One second closer.

Patella aches.
Legs are veined.
Decorated ornately.
Threads sewn.
Embroidered, but not by needles.
Hair has gone all funny.
Killed it with my dye.
This hormones it's falling out.
Really don't know why.

Guess I should age naturally.
But I don't know why I should.

Dogs of War!

In a vulnerability of emptiness.
Lonely in a reason of neglect.
A huge dose of regret.
Fits with loss.
May the world not be be bereft.

The world has lost it's honey.
These are not sweet bees.
Ripped from hornets nest.
The toxic beasts repelled.

Court of the land expels appellant.
In a lore unto their own.
In an aphorism.
Of vacant statements.
Hanging in an old cold world before the end of days.
When dogs of war come out to play.

Poets Heart!!!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Ambulance chased harsh tragedy.
Took the young man home
Beep beep, crash.
Paddles without a boat.
Asystole.. gone gone gone.
Cadaver gave donation.
Thank you.
Bless his holy soul.
Pray may he rest in peace.

The diseased heart of the sad man beats.
Hammers a struggle every day.
Called in.
In a mighty dash.

Prepared for transplantation.
Of this wonderful donation.
Once alive cadaver renewed.
Invigorated.
Life lacking quality.
Was given quantity.

Once deceased heart beats on in another.
Released to live and breathe again.
Was much too young to die.

Four chambers full with emotion blooming.
The heart transplanted was that of a lover.
A poet.
The beating heart beat at a ton.
The battle won.
A tad too fast, but built to last.

The worthless one with no value.
Picked up a pen to write.
Poems of power flowed to the sea.
Up the mountains over the trees.
Strange enthusiasm.
Never before felt.
The hard cold man began to melt.

The victim of tragedy.
Left legacy.
Wholly unexpected.
The once was poet.
Renewed his heart.

Making Up!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Forgiven at last perhaps.
The morning after the night before.
Tried to even up the score.
Cold.
Could the chill be breached?

Of course it could.
Mornings are for making up.

Flashing passion.
Together quiver.
Bodies snuggle tight evicting anger's raging shiver.
Close in body held well.
Cheek touched softly.
In scarlet passion.
Pair of hearts no longer bled.
The sucker's love is not dead.

Bodies roll and writhe as anger stripped.
Overtaken in moments of melting moulding together.
In ecstatic moments.
Leading to heavens' afterglow.
As love cried tears of pure joy.
Atonement for last nights passed storm.

Being Me!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Being Me!

Child of war.
I am not.
Gentle as a lamb.
However:
The wind changed.
Strengthening the world inside

Lest the world dare forget me.
Innocence is not my name.
A wild child in a body somewhat haggard.

My sword crops up now and then.
The temper can fly vile.
My tongue can lash as cat'o'nines.
Cast out aspersions,
Fly on golden eagle wings.
Bearing with them curses.

Blessings too, at times.
As passion flower.
Rages infernally.
As hell shocked woman scorned.
Pretty in pink at times.
Pasty.
Virtual silence ******.
Never in the written word.

A vibrant life of tragedy.
On a world of pages posted.
A sow, a cow.
A box of trouble.
Her temples will never crumble.

She is strong.
Supportive,
Sometimes cries.
Regularly dies inside.
Her will will be a match for many.
She suffers not fools gladly.
Never in a daydream.
Not ever, never even in a dare.
Who cares?

If I were able to do a degree.
I'd do a degree in poetry,
Then the world would see the real me!
Bring on the high heeled *****!

The Bank! (Dark Humour)
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
It was getting late.
In a rush the customers flooded.
Desperate to make one last deposit.
Before the bank was shut!

The tellers waited patiently.
For all of them to leave.
Shuffled off in virtual silence to catch the last bus.
They were are rather knackered.
Did not want to fuss.

All feeling rather drained.
Looking rather pale and stressed.
Nearly all dying for a rest.

The bank was shut.
Fridge switched on.
One and one along they come.

Heigh ** (A/O )
Positive,negative.
What's your fix.
Or maybe a cocktail.
I'm sure I can mix.

Said the waiter in black tight tuxedo.
Crisp in white shirt.
I can see him you know.
Behind the bar.
Stood in the corner.
They tell me his name is Jack Warner.

Offers a warning to all the girls.
When running his fingers though their curls!

Gets those bags out.
Filled bursting with claret.
Passes one to the ******* the left.
She smiled fangs bared.
Audacious enough to believe he cared.
The emotionless creep in the immortal sleep.

Waiter turned round and smiled at me.
Fangs glinting in the light.
Obviously only electric.

The vampire bar became a tad hectic.
'Well me darlin', what's your poison'
I smiled real cute with a mischievous grin.
Reciprocal comment came out mighty quick.
Mine's a coke.
I was 'avin a joke,
Don't like them ****** weird folk!

'You ****** vampires make me real sick!'
Left the blood bank.
Like a bat out of hell!

She was the princess of his dreams.
Once.
Not long ago.
In a flash of power she wrote his name.
She was not true beauty.
She scratched her name across his heart.
Left power of a memory.
An itch he longs to scratch.
Crazy people.
Not mismatched.
Be it not a pseudonym.
Her being, gave him crazy blessings.
Helped him love again.
Once arose a smile within.
Though love be lost.
Once did win!

And moonlight ushers her blessings on your body as you rest.
She reads the stress pouring out from your forehead in dreams.
Timid whimpers the puppy saddened by a scolding.
Cowering as age develops by the minute.
Even by the second.
Not at all as you had reckoned.

Diana, huntress snatches your sword.
Propelled it to the nether worlds.
Lest you cut yourself.
Sever not the light of life.
Carried on raindrops.

By the face of morning's crispy sun.
You quake, you shake you vibrate and you quiver.
Like joy in the morning the sunshine you give her!

Drug Fueled Funny Fantasy!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Climbed a rubber ladder.
To try and reach the stars.
The luminescent painted stars.
Dropped by angels as they passed.

Down she went falling fast.
A bungee jump to hit the deck.
Bottom of the crevasse.

Whoa.
Up the dainty fairy flew.
Wings made of glass.
Broke down.
Fractured grains of sand.

Along came the caterpillar blowing smoke rings aromatic.
The rings of warming smoke.
Lifted fairy to find the ladder.
****** on his smoke..she was well and truly bladdered.
Her head, well it began to spin.

Started seeing crazy stuff.
The colours bright, the sounds distorted.
Must have been what she last snorted.
Charlie was her best friend.
Once upon a time.
Escaped from a fantasy.
Her head released.
Was flying free.
Within the realms of LSD!

Wet Cheeks!

The ab dabs they screamed.
When she was leaving.
Walked out of the door.
Expecting much more.
Crying, dying in river deep.
Believed there would be tomorrow,
Tomorrow came not.
Only past a present.
Unpleasant gift of sorrow.

A million and one candid kisses.
Given away by the fool on the hill.
A legacy not left by free will.
Was not pursuant,
Not breaching the lore.
A total surprise.
In a ****** disguise.
Wait so strong.
For the sun more to rise.

Dying sunrise.
Flickered out.
Lava bubbles, as this witch she cuddled.
Her sorry heart as it sits alone.
She is a free bird.
As free as is he.

Last words uttered'I love you',
He states nearly silently.
' I know you do'.
Used vanishing cream to smooth out his wrinkles.
Disappeared.
Left only tears!

WTF...LOL@LIVVI X
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Is it normal to feel this way?
My heart got let out of the window.

Got caught on the summer breeze.
Back in the seventh month while, in seventh heaven.

Henceforth;
It vanished.
It blew away.

Blew away.
It won't come back.

Can't catch it on a spike.
Or in a net of mesh.

Now it's gone I sit and cry.
Darling, I still want to die.

It's all a pretence.
This pretending not to give a fk

Waiting to hear once more your voice.
Or read power of love straight from your pen.

You said hell, there's no relationship.
I don't know how you could.

Maybe not a proper one, but what we had was f
cking good.
Unless your heart was damaged first.
Or made of rotting wood!

Maybe your heart crocheted from wool.
Soft and fluffy.
But nobody's fool.

The sweet lady, Livvi.
Really cute and cool,

Snatched your heart and broke the rules.
For how much longer must I regret?

Your ring's positioned safely back in my drawer.
Hurts too much to wear it still.

Was not a bragger never will be,
Nor out to gain repute.

A rider on your reputation.
Have one of my own to declare and protect.

Adores poetry.
Livvi, the lady.

She bows in respect to you and her.
Have to say she loves you slightly more.

Just a little bit.
For you are a real being,

With human touch.
Emotion and devotion.

Worth having.
Not with a heart of stone.

Her poetry she will still flow.
Whether you stay or whether you go.

As I perceive you already know.
Had a week off.

Missed sheer joy.
Not being curled up with overgrown boy!

My Home Contains my Heart.
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
She said give not up on love.
For sweet her love.
It kissed him in a way that no-one ever could.
Love is power.
Not heart corrupting.
Lost feelings erupting.
Be not afraid,
My  dark deep distant warring soul.

Love protects and lifts the scared and sacred ones.
Human form ecstatic.
If the form is right.
Drifting on a lonely river.
Doesn't keep you warm at night.

Enough to raise a smile.

Raises odds.
For more just a hint of happiness.
There is more to life than living wholly alone.
Hold my heart in your hands.
Give it a massage with tenderness.
Walk not down the lonely road.

A duet of poetic diversity.
Far apart, still in distance.
For as long as need decrees.
Close in  both heart and mind.
Take another look.
See what you can find.
Not all humans are monkeys.
One or two are kind!

Weigh the Sky!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Sky grey.
Seems as if it weighs a ton.
Not looking fluffy.
Once a soft quilt.
Now,
A well used heavy one.
Looking very grimy.
The sky is grimacing.
But only now and then.

Minimal emotion noted hanging
Heavy across  tops of trees.
The evergreens are just that.
A sludgy shade of green.
Lost their summer days lustre.
It must have been removed.

The wind has died a death.
Everything so still.
Lights are on so early now.
Cosy toes when shut indoors.
Dare to leave the pleasantries.
Go outside.
Feel Santa's coming claws.

Space Invader!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
I shall not invade your space.
Except of course with words.

Unless I am invited.
I shall not post my comments.
To the man who appreciates it not.

I see your face and feel you.
Always close at hand.
Darling, your sweet soul.
I no longer demand.

You should have called me in.
When you had the chance.
Wanted but, a distant love.
With minimal romance.

Words of love,
A mere ripple in the distance.
A revolution of crumbling temples.
Sword heated and tempered.

Blocked from the book of two faced love.
By the tiger dressed as pussycat .

Lay down and purr in my lap.
I shall stroke your sorry belly.
Twist your tail around my arms.
Bite me not my sweet friend.

Teach me to love again.
As my soul could teach you too.
While you have a chance.

Love has left the dance hall.
Emotion, hell she remains.

Want not roses.
No more than words.
Lost too soon.
A barren love.

Once was strong.
Such as kindling could renew.

Hang on in there.
Until the time,
That time herself ends!

She speaks not with toxic tongue.
Her words genuine and true.

Hell be wreaked on Earth.
She will not chase you.
Ever never.
The pursuing's up to you!

Not stresses me out.

In beauty.

She is the universe,
She is always in demand.
Sought out by astronomers.
From eons gone by.
Discovering evolution from the sands of time.

You do not matter.
Only matter matters.

Lust! (One asterisked bad swear word)!

Lash me not with your tongue.
Tie me up in velvet ribbons.
Soft edged with shiny silk.
Handcuffs you use to keep me trapped.
Be sure you do not lose the key.
A spot of ****** filthiness between only you and me.

Halt me with your kisses
A proper way to spend some time.
Mention not the loving issues.
Bursting out the front.
Taking your loving issue and stuff it up my c**t.
Don't forget the tissues.

As an afterthought.
Use them to dry your sullen tears.
To wipe your eyes, as I am leaving.
After all these years.

Whip cracked undeniably.
Around my bottom cheeks.
While my fist it bled your lips.
Between my nipping teeth.
I bit.
As I made you bleed.
Your request not mine.
Hell boy.
Whatever, your perverse requests.
You are still mighty fine!

If You!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Tell. me you love me again.
As you run your fingers through my hair.
While touching your temples with my pen.
As I touch yours with new born grace.

Once kisses of power.
My heart was devoured.
Blood flow blue.
Royal blue my lord.

I shall write my words for you.
As I write my words for all and sundry.

The girl whose heart turned cold and blue.
In a mismatch of a hotchpotch.
Of gobbledygook mistaken.
On a crisp cold winters day.

She begs for nothing.
Nothing at all.
Perhaps pride came before her fall.
Her fall from grace entirely dropped.
Discarded in dreams puddles.

Her poems now extended.
Too many months descended.
To put my words in consonants and vowels.
To fill the cracks with trowels.
No, not mine you fool.

Words are my nourishment.
Sometimes my punishment.
As the book of revelations.
I lay open.
Not signalling Armageddon.
Nor the end of my world.
Without you!

Controlled by a Dream!

Went off with the madman
The madam did go.
In an element of control he came.
Dragged her to his home.
A cave,
Somewhere dark.
Very cold.
Only way in.
The same way out.
He lived in the back of beyond.
He swore love undying.
While her brain he controlled.

They dined on grubs,
while they laid on their rugs.
With the bonus of somebody's discarded hard pizza.
On top of a pair of old itchy cushions.
Grabbed at their tatty grey scratchy blankets.
Edged in navy blue.

Tried to leave the madman in his hiding hole.
He said 'babe you're going nowhere'.
His voice full of control.

Her friends in the hovel of brothel did warn her.
There are nuts in them there hills.
Don't go out alone.
Would she listen,
Not a chance.

So here she found herself.
Dining on mice.
With the madman, who lived in the cave on the hill.
She wanted to leave.
Never will.

As in her food another tablet.
Eat my dear, eat you will.
It's just another sleeping pill.
'For you honey, you will never leave of your own free will'.
Wanted you then.
I want you still.
Escape attempts are truly futile.
No-one around for miles and miles.

Then my phone rang.
Sat up with a jolt.
My escape imminent from the otters damp holt.
From a dream mega.
Relaxed and broke free.
Somewhat relieved.
Wrapped myself in my cover.
Went back to sleep!

I promise you not a miracle.
My blistered love dispatched.
What started off as chicken's egg.
An ostrich it has hatched.

Never thought.
That this could be.
Surreal.
Without dignity.
Ripped out my soul.
Blew off my socks.
Continually pelting me with rocks.
Rocks made of words.
Hell this world is so unfair
Love left on the ledge
Etched deep in cliff sides.
Entombed beneath the park.
The fields through which we used to walk.
Beneath the whispering poplar.
Emotions so strong.
Wrapped in the willows flowing tears.
Drifting with the streams trickle.
Flowing towards the sea.

Who was it?
Who ate it up?
Were they hungry?
Obviously desperate,
Spent many pennies.
Used up in one hit.

Does it really take whole one to clean up one little s**t?

Ribbons. (Very Dark)

Take the silken ribbon from my hair.
Wrap it tight around my neck.
For on cold nights of loneliness.
In darkness.
My cold body sits.
My neck bruised in compassion.
Once there in sight.
Was once there in mind.
There for company.
Seek and thou shall find my friend.

Embalmed behind a sullen smile.
Austere.
Such quiet company.
In dignified silence sat.
My mouth stitched shut.
Calling out is not aloud.

I feel you watching me.
While in eternity I sleep.
A presence around me.
I feel that you want me.
Caught by skeins of royal blue.
Oxygen depleted.
In a tapestry of captivity.

But I am not yours.
Only God can set me free.

(I have no  organised religion, I am agnostic. The last line…just seemed to fit.
I am a Robert Browning fan and a Poe fan. Hence the darkness!).

Sing me a love song in dulcet tones.
Strum my love in acoustics.
Tickle the spot with your tongue.
As I will tickle yours my friend.

Pray screech not like tom cat.
Wailing in response.
A message to his cute queen.
His lady in waiting.

Softly ripples.
Sensitive *******.
Highly charged.
Animal instincts.
Passion blessed.
True passion bled in songs.

Tenderness in words.
Loyal and true.
Not really the tom cat.
Thought the whole world knew.

The Girl with the Auburn Hair!

Once was a young sweet woman.
With long and flowing auburn hair.
Time passed with no dignity.
Cracks and crevasses appeared.
A face of furrows, where ages burrowed.
Where once did kindness dwell.

Bitter and twisted and hurting like hell.
She's nobody's fool.
No longer loves puppet.
This once sweet young woman she stood.
And she laughed.
Curled up in fits.
At the fool on the hill.

A disparaging manner in loves lost disgust.
So obviously vanished.
When once his friendship.
Wholly did trust.
Now all that remains.
Only tears of dust.

Not mad just disillusioned.
Love hoodwinked her heart.
Keeps her safe.
Just for using, abusing and musing with fire.

Tossed away without a care.
The beautiful heart.
With auburn hair!

Sons and Daughters!

Two sons standing tall and strong.
Essence of British.
Defend their own free will.
Guard well their family a fighting force.
Soldiers of fortune.
With Ink marked skin.
It is their skin they're living in.

Eldest defends, his sons all three.
Brother and sister's.
They all protect me.
Even when I muck up.
Yet another time.
Stand strong.
Defending one another.
All defending me.
The woman of many mistakes

Loud and proud.
In both actions and deeds.
Two young men who do protect.
These English men so true.
Sister's reputations cossetted.

My daughter's of which there are two.
The youngest.
She is really beautiful of face.
She plays the mamma keeping house.
Her baba's cooking slowly.
In the safest place to be.

The other the eldest of the two.
She is not maternal.
Another pretty lady.
More natural in her style.
Loves to travel.
Adores sport.
Football and rugby her best friends.

If I had a crystal ball.
My predictions they would be.
My family not divisible.
Little daughter will be a perfect mum.
Eldest daughter.
Clever one.
Will do much more than she's doing now.
She really is a brainy cow.
My boys will build a huge success.
Empires of their own.
Between us, at last.
My lovely family.
We'll work as a team.

Declaration!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Bless me with your poetry.
Declare thy love is true.
In darkness and in violence.
He tries to make me blue.

Lectures I'm a tempest.
Lashing loud with callous tongue.
Cold and harsh.
Hell on Eath be wreaked.
In Heaven I think not.

I so much beg to differ.
So,
As putty.
My soft heart is all I've got.
Swung upon a yo-yo.
As child's toy.
Kept it on a rubber string.
Flying up and down.
In and out of Victoria.
Queen of London town.

Destroying not his temples.
Never in a million years.
Not to make him cry again.
Justifies my kindness.
Wipes away his sulky tears.

The Joy of Ultrasound!

Drink a lot my dear they said.
As fluid made a picture.
Hazy imagery.
Heaven's own creation.
Echoes bounced, as picture back.
Beautiful image as yet unborn.

Sitting in a darkened room.
Seeing normal limbs.
Marked out four chambers.
Cordant
Brimmed with love.
Infiltrated full with blood.
Organs not of music.
Silent as in-vitro.

Visualised a photograph.
Captured on the screen.
Un petit-fils enroute.
Ma fille elle-même une petite fille.
Life anew.
Enters my world.
Due on the 4th of April!

Stollen Venom!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Venom!

Carry not venom in sharpened fangs;
Which pierce peace.
Bring not scorpions madness unto the kicking tail of abnormality.
Nausea sickens impolitely,
While walking through a softened heart.

Be not bitter as I am not.
Tells me that I am not forgot.
Each time with words you crucify.
A public notice not denied.
Cannot deny in whinging and whining.
Powerful hearts are both entwining.
Smash and grab,

A stollen heart.
That was Stollen,
Well bread.
Not stolen,
Straight rye bread,
Stolen from a German fantasy.
Fruity, spicy full of fun.

Worry!

Worry not.
I want not love from thee.
Not for thee or me.
I have moved on.
I did so long ago.

You are a written word for me.
Remnants of once love.
Now left.
A role in words constructed.
From combined love.
Poetic passionate imagination.
Pure poetic inspiration is what you offer.
What I take each day.

I care not myself.
For the man who so scratches.
Just because I write such words.
Flown as migrating birds.
Flew away to find the sun.
To discover from her words of passion.
That what we had is gone and done!
Well and truly out of fashion.

The Bank!

The Bank!

Late spring sunshine tickles my back.
Shoulders bared without a care.
Rested on the river bank.
Pad and pen in hand.

A trumpeting siren stands on the path.
Up front screeching.
Before mine eyes.
Am I scared like hell I am.
Screaming loud and proud.

Fallen angel with wings unfurled and venom in his eyes.
Unsettled by screaming children.
Yelping hounds of hell disturb.
This creature makes one final stand.

A frightened cob.
Wanted peace and freedom.
To go pick up his pen.
To drift back down the river's flow.
To once more breathe again.

Freedom granted.
Here and now.
For I avoid this noisy bird.
Who causes pain to those who meet.
The fallen angel with the orange beak.

Hey You!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Hey You!

Pick up that gun.
Pull the trigger.
See who is going to be first,
The first one to snigger.

Hey you.
Shaking in your pixie boots.
Do you think she's gonna shoot.

Wry smile creeps.
From eyes that don't weep.
That peep around corners.
Abridged by the mourners.

Hey you.
Is she feeling blue.
Is she gonna run a main line.

Leaving tracks from vacant trains.
A fix to write all wrongs.
No man.
Chemical solutions never fixed the pain.
No needles ever entered her sweet veins.

Mortal remains of love unchanged.

Temperate Love!

I love thee as the sun that bathes my body.
I love you as the rain refreshes emptiness.
Love filling it with joy.
I love you as the morning rises.
Tripping in the warming sun.

I love you when the moon is full.
I love you when darkness writes.
I love you when cruel words do bite.
I love you precious creature.
When you creep into my dreams.

I love you as the willows weep.
They sob along with me.
I love you as the summer sleeps.
When winter chills my bones.
I shall love you still.

Between Life and Death!

Between Life and Death!

And on the other side of the unholy globe.
Death came with chaos.
Hatched and dispatched,
Enduring and curing.
A female child saw the eye of the storm.
As she entered the world into mama's sweet arms.
Maybe the phoenix she shall arise.

Nigh.
In Hungary.

Mama tied to life support.
To feed her world anew with goodness.
Child born of sleeping mama.
Mama without a spark of brain.
A female child.

A miracle.
A gift from God perhaps.
Heavenly deliverance at week twenty seven.
Baby from embryonic dark life.
Saved from death by death in her safe haven.

While Mama heads to heaven.
Baby girl lives on.
Maybe as phoenix she shall arise.

Land of the Lost! (And this is about?)

Land of the lost hid revelations.
Tied In bonds.
Satisfied a thirst.
Hungry for knowledge.
Grew inside.
From the acorn.
Embryonic giant oak.
Doth grow.

Tree of knowledge.
Upon it tawny owl sits.
Shedding pellets.
Knowledge all.
What once lived inside.
Around the globe.
Let the sphere of enlightenment be born.
From the owls wisdom.
Concealed.
Partially digested.
Deep in the land of the lost.

Tell me what's her name my friend.
The one who stole your heart away.
Noisy siren, snatched your beautiful heart.
Entrapped in words ideal.
She powered by a pen.
Ignited by war my child.

Sometimes fired from summer sun.
Winter rain.
Hailstones biting.
Causing pain.
Sometimes cruel and vile.
Human love discarded.
Dumped on the pile

Words strung on a harpsichord score.
Lost love has a date with destiny.
Destiny wholly untrue.
Two anonymous writers.
Write day and night.
Sort of seeking recognition.

Potential footsteps lead to perdition.
Hope and pray not.
Their only prey is words.
My soliloquy she cries in solitude.
Solipsist by choice.
In her sophistication!

Kismet!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Kismet!

Genuine, loyal, royal and true.
Ensign flaring, pearly love.
Trumpets serenade.
An opal tinge of missing luck.
Mislaid on the way.
Left me rather blue.

Kismet could have kissed me.
She could have kissed him too.
Made him want to stay a while.
A caricature in goldfish bowl.
Surface scraping, seeking air.

Blessed are the meek of heart.
To live and breathe, for words of art.
Write words of honour, passion and pain.
Scratch out love words once again.
Hold tender words.
Close in heart.
Near in head.
To say once more before I'm dead.

Retreat and defeat come not to me.
True love or nothing.
But, not lucky enough to be,
Never in a daydream.
Or ever in a nightmare.

In the land of chivalry.
Only knight's a writer.
That's how it's got to be.
My writing is the one for me.

Slugs!

Foul slugs leave their trails of shining misery.
Where they had been,
So obviously marked.
Eating green stuff in their path.
The sunlight drew the greenery out into the day.
Almost saying eat me please.
Well eat me anyway.

At sluggish face.
She slowly states.
'Smile please'.
No darling.
A face without expression.
In fact without a face.

This slug faced being,
Only munches greenery.
It hates cheese and slime.
Not keen on saline either.
It makes it's insides melt.
And the outside too.
Nothing left but shiny mark.
A little bit of soggy sludge!

I detest slugs and I'm not a gardener!

Come to me for Christmas!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Came to me on freezing day.
When snow did kiss my nose.
As the summer sun.
She rose, we chose.

To write sweet reams of poetry.
Never a truer endeavour met.
And yet.
The drizzle washed away.
Our final fatal fantasy.

Pleading not.
Never would.
Believe in thee.
Have faith in the power of good.

Come unto me,
As Christmas gift.
Bring back past in present.
Perchance.
A bringer of such presence lost.

My mouth will speak such sweet words.
And my tongue she shall untangle!

Seven Days too Long!

Seven Days too Long!

Not because I miss your love.
Because, I miss your silent voice.
The voice of screaming angels.
Can be wiped away with cotton wool.
As cheap foundation from the cute face of the fool.
The fool who dared.
She who made you love again.
Although it were uncool.

Destroyed by the silence from once great friend.
This broken heart can't ever mend.
Hell,
Me I wish he was still my friend.
I am not a stalker.
Nor a sideways walker.
Out to make you itch.

Did my head in.
Life's a *****.
But me,
Me,
I value friendship to the bitter end.
Once again I repeat my friend.
This broken heart will never mend!

Sleep Sheep!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
We can all dream of love night and day.
A dream lover.
To dream alone.
Is so much better.
In the cold of the night.
Love is a fossil.
Crispy dry and decayed.

Put love.
My once friend.
Love out to pasture.
In the field of dreams.
Sheep get counted.

Their fleeces,
they don't fleece the dreamer.
Drift down the river of dreams.

Baa baa black sheep...
Once a little lamb.
Grew into an adult sheep.
Then became a man.
Sheep, one, two,three...
Slip slip slip...
Into Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Not snow white in fairy gaffs.
Bashful indiscretion.
Happy has a smiling face.
Every now and then.
Grumpy in the morning.
When alarm says up you get.
Off you have to go and play.
Snow White, well she wants sweet sleepy's head.
'Hi **, hi **.
It's off to work you go.'
He said!
***** was once really ******.
Till Doc he came along and moaned.
Sneezy had the sniffles.
Perhaps he was allergic.
Wanted no more fairy gaffs.
Only wanted lots of laffs!

Soldier of peace are you waiting in white.
With a soul that will not surrender.
A lost lonely being.
Not holy just right.
Do you stand brave in the face of adversity.
Fighting the cruelest of worlds.

Would you write for me.
Write with me perchance.
Construct words from crumbled dust.
Build a jigsaw.
More if you could.
Paint an image in words.
Acrylic or oils.
Sculpt me a statue.
Grand in wood.

Pen me a lyrical love song.
Compose me a honey ballad.
Without a bee to sting.
Rock my world with power loud.
Serenade me with guitar acoustic.
Send me up on a shooting star.
I'll do the same for you.

To Post a Poem!

Find me a postage stamp to write a poem on.
In imagery implicit.
One tiny spot.
A need to fill with written power.
Finding language every hour.

Poetry intrinsic.
Intoxicates my heart.
My mind, my soul.
I shall write with graphite.
So if need I can erase,
As sometimes,
on my postage stamp.
I need to analyse my space.

Bees once buzzed.
In summer sun.
Spirited souls.
Skirted over flower beds.
Their gift of honey.
Sweet creation.

Sipped mead with thee.
Sampling in contentment.
On the riverbank.
Where willows once wept.
And children still cried.

A soldier of fortune.
Passion abroad.
Vows of love written.
In blood.
A eulogy to thee and me.
Claret sparkled.

Dripping from unholy tongue.
Drinking in the moment.
A vampire.
Hidden from the sun.
