Now, He turns to us and says,
"Come, sit here next to Me
When you take the lowest place
You're in Good Company."

How I feel ≠ who I am.

You don't call the dawn cruel for taking its time - not when you've seen a sunrise

I asked God to soften my heart and winced when His shovel hit the soil; mourned when it rained, wailed as He tore the weeds from their throne in my soul.

Now, a year on, I've tasted and seen: He really is good, and so is His fruit.

"Death, be not proud"
Your turn will come
Your sting is gone
Our King has come

And with His heel
Crushing your head
It won't be long
'Til death is dead

You make me buoyant:
Walking on waves
Sleeping in storms
Over the swell
Over the tides that rise and fall
You and I are buoyant

I am in my Father's house
So I am safe and sound
There is no loss He can't redeem
There is no gain He won't exceed

The world is ending!
It's all on fire!
God is healing
The cosmic divide
And yet, He still takes the time
To stoop and make a dandelion

What other deity
Names the stars and
Counts our hairs
All at once?
Indeed, there is no other God
Indeed, I know not one.

There's a light that lingers until dawn
It shines bright and brighter until the perfect day
