There's a light that lingers until dawn
It shines bright and brighter until the perfect day

I asked God to soften my heart and winced when His shovel hit the soil; I mourned when it rained and wailed as He tore the weeds from my soul, one by one.

Now, a year on, I have tasted and seen: He really is good, and so is His fruit.
