Your lips curved like a crescent moon
Your hips also
Will it be soon
You ask
My reply
It will
Then when will we leave
Soon I say
Again
With more force
And yet we never left

you & i

i do not think that this is a poem -
but i decided some things about you & i.

if people are colors, you are blue and i am green.

if people are seasons, you are spring and i am autumn.

if people are flowers, you are a forget-me-not and i am a poppy.

if people are drinks, you are hot chocolate and i am pink lemonade.

if people are candy, you are an everlasting gobstopper and i am a hershey's kiss.

if people are clouds, you are a cumulonimbus and i am a cirrostratus.

if people are times of day, you are dusk and i am dawn.

if people are trees, you are a weeping willow and i am a dogwood.

if people are languages you are french and i am portuguese.

i still
feel you
in my
ribs

where they bend
and (some
times)
break
((you never
ceased
to pull
like
gravity))

b for short
By Wednesday
I’m ready to
         unhook
              unhinge
                    unfold.
Peel this pale skin
right off these overtaxed bones
& let my soul sip
on all of the thoughts
I scolded myself
for thinking
while I walked
across the company parking lot.

I’m sure she would tell you
that those sipped thoughts—
they taste like slow jazz.
They envelop the tongue
without permission
& casually uncoil into
all of the beautiful,
tasteless language
that is able to seamlessly
twist and bewitch.

I’m sure she would tell you
that anything
worth a sip
is forbidden,
as she cups her palms
& presses them to your lips.

“Have a drink,” she’ll say,
   “You need some color
                       in those cheeks.”

Like a lion.

Like a lion I seem So brave, But inside i feel like I'm in a cave.
My "Confidence" roars It almost seems as if I'm ready for war.
But sadly enough, I'm not tough.
Strong i may seem, But I'm tearing apart at the seams.
You have to agree, Showing the real me would only cause people misery.
So i hide so no one can see my insides.
Like a eagle i want to soar, but i always run into a door.
Trapping myself in a cage, only building up rage.
Like lion I seem brave.
Every night his head rests on me
Each day  weight of thoughts and burdens grow
Can no one honestly see?
His desire for happiness and life will no longer flow
Alone, trapped in a nightmare
Waiting for the fall and wake
He's created his own lair
And wont let anyone in for their own sake
All I can do here is sit and watch
Oh look, what a surprise, another knotch
His sorrow flattening me
I think its time for people to see...

Psalm 2
 Sep 2013 Seán
Marian
O sing praises unto the Lord.
The heart of the righteous shall
Continually praise Him.
2 Clap your hands, and be joyful
for what He hath done for us.
3 Praise Him morning and evening,
And when thou sleepest, let thine
Heart praise Him.
4 O praise the Lord for His
Everlasting mercy, and for the
Tenderness He hath bestowed upon us.
