he used to hit me with the
"do you love me"

i used to sit there, glaring at him through closed eyes
with an open heart,
heavy
from weights not heavy enough to be
the weight of love.
you were the first man to love me.
naturally
i loved you too,
marveling at your beauty under the summer blue of the new york city sky.
fingers entwined, hearts rocketing...
you perpetually climbed to the center of my
universe.
if i could rein in the sun,
i would converse with the earth
and hand you the center of our solar system.
the shooting of stars would be under your infliction, and
the world would slowly dance around the
conviction
of your heart beat.
your heart beat
sounds like the finale of fireworks on the fourth of july,
your eyes
flicker like the stars shining beyond the thickness of the summer new york city sky
thickness
like the weight of love.

Lots of roses for her Birthday party
As it was held in the garden outside
Look at the pretty rose stationery
That was used for her invitations wide
Oh look how pretty is her rose party
With lots of pretty roses here and there
Oh look at our Birthday Girl of beauty
Oh let us offer her a pretty chair
Oh look at the waltzing red roses sweet
In the garden of unending love
Oh listen to the patter of our Girl's feet
As Tasha waltzes in the sky above
Oh let me dance with you, my dear Tasha
My Birthday Girl with the name: Natasha

I hear you about the kitchen sigh.
Neglect those cares for one blissful day.
Time on rushing wings too soon doth fly.
Please daddy and mamma with me play!

Just one golden afternoon of bliss
Over long forgotten book to pore.
Weeping someday you'll look back and miss
Time's stolen moments that are no more.

Forsake internet this afternoon;
Neglect those cares for one blissful day!
Childhood dreams shall vanish all too soon.
Please daddy and mamma with me play!.

I am heartbroken my husband so dear
That all my aspirations seem to die
Nor brighten your days with sunshine and cheer
And make thy heaviest burdens to fly.
Forgive my frail human attempts in vain,
Sparkling gold turned into bitter dross,
My failure to palliate ev'ry pain,
Highest dreams and goals fading into loss.
So I pray to be an ideal wife;
Make each oncoming day a golden dream
Flood radiant sunshine into your life
So each new moment doth sparkle and gleam.
O! May this humble sonnet to thee prove
Truest heartfelt token of my deep love.

"I love you Jesus," said Sally Anne.
"Today I'll do everything I can."
All day long she nagged her husband kind
Until he thought he would lose his mind.

"I love you Jesus!" cried Miss Mary.
"Today for others loads I'll carry."
Neighbor Alice called and begged for bread.
Slamming the phone gave a stone instead.

"I love Thee Jesus," said Mrs. Hill
"Today how I long to do Thy will!"
She laughed at the poor and mocked the lame
Then sat and watched a video game.

"I love you Jesus," smiled Mrs. Lee.
"I'll show what a Christian I can be."
Then donning a bright red mini skirt
Spent the afternoon a blatant flirt.

"I love you Jesus," said Sister Fay.
"How I long to read Your Word and pray!"
She toiled and sweated all the long day
That night so weary she scarce could pray.

Five promising His love to proclaim.
Which think ye won the test and the game?

Ps 1:1 ¶ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. {ungodly: or, wicked}
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. {wither: Heb. fade}
4 ¶ The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Snowflakes of joy falling from the sky,
Snowflakes of joy falling from the clouds way up high,
Hear the children's laughter echoing in the dale;
And the sky is wearing it's lacy veil.
Snowballs flying through the sky,
Singing birds through the air fly,
Snowflakes of joy dancing on the street;
Waltzing to the sound of pattering feet.
Snowflakes of gladness dancing on my window,
Watch the happy children playing in the snow,
Snowballs flying through the sky;
And the clouds smile down from their home on high.
Snowflakes of joy silently falling down,
Dancing and waltzing on the snow-covered ground,
Snowflakes of peace falling from the sky;
Singing birds in the air doth fly.
