A failure, that’s all I really am when you look at me,
A useless pill popper, who’s self loathing hooks him, you see,
It’s a complex, I’m aware i’m worthless,
I’m standing at the edge, swaying, wordless,
Side to side, to and fro, left to right,
I’ll take the jump, quietly rid the world of me tonight,
I need a vacation, from the **** in my life,
Before I get to slicing up my wrist with this knife,
Saying goodbye, to everyone I thought gave a ****,
I wanted someone to care, but I think i’m **** out of luck.
lonesome for the country
i need to get outta town,
with this city
in for a penny
in for a pound.
i need to get back to my roots
i wanna fill my boots
with some hallowed cuntry sound.

a skate board flys by
clack-clack on every side walk crack,
same rhythm same rhyme
as that lonsome long snake
rollin' down the line.
movin' up the steel to a muddy sky.

a pedal steel wails as a cop goes by,
72 chev malibou sails through a red light.
on every corner you have to look left,
you have to look right,
you can't go lookin' up the steel to a muddy sky.

this city she has her shades of blue,
a man on the corner with a national,
two hands poundin' out a delta groove..
head tilts back sings you godda move,
you godda move,
movin' up the steel to a muddy, muddy sky.

what on earth is this feeling
(yellowing formaldehyde)
kind of like old heartbreak reeling

a vivisection, never healing
coat & spray on the insecticide
what on earth is this feeling

criminal butterflies stealing
the cogs & screws in my arthropod insides
kind of like old heartbreak reeling

heartthrobs come frenzied then unfeeling
my vague worries preside
what on earth is this feeling

whateverphobia; a personal ceramic ceiling
to myself, is how I've always lied
kind of like old heartbreak reeling

carcass littered webs are usually unappealing
my own web has much to elide
kind of like old heartbreak reeling
what on earth is this feeling
the villanelle has been often used (for the element of repetition in the form) to express feelings of dislocation and disassociation. I've always found it ironic that such a rigidly structured poem could be used for such a feeling. (I completely said '**** it' with the meter, though)
You see me and I see you,
we want to believe our actions are true.
By true, our own, but neither is,
we're all an imitation of what we've seen.

As trivial as a yawn so contagious,
or a popped knuckle that makes your insides itch
with the desire to follow suit daunting,
until the release of air and distress.

And as complicated as genetic code-- offspring following--
so naturally unnoticed like metered swallowing;
but like the mother ducks, who allievate stresses
of waters strong, we learn to cope from elders.

Whether it be innate or not,
had we not aped we'd be naught.
Forever we will remain children
who want another's toy 'til it's dropped.
Actual criticism would be much appreciated.
and there's the etch a sketch again,
dragging the metal 'round her wrists,
just to feel,
and heroically I fight to be her champion,
waging wars against the depression of her breaths,
and I remember her pain,
it hurt more then mine,
and I stood beside her
and we paired mutilated aortas,
with decaying hearts,
and I thought this would be different,
that some how the story would change,
because it was us,
us against them,
us against the lust,
and all we wanted was time to be together,
time bleeds love into,
us against crumbling trust,
us against us.

I thought this story was different but in the end,
we speak not,
we trust not,
and we forget and forgive not,
and all we bring to the table of life is left rotten,
desires and dreams untended,
all we are and all we are not is shadows now,
and we are stuck waiting for a train that may never come.
There was a time
when you could move mountains
with your smile, and the earth
was such a beautiful bridge.
Now Ursa dips deeply into
the dark well of sky while
little sister plays hide and seek,
perishing thoughts that ride down in bitter cool.

How can you or I claim innocence
when we have both been here before,
shall we cast down our glance in shame
having lied through eyes of stolen charm.
Our birth is breached
as we cling tight to earlier yearnings,
and the wailing wall sounds
a whisper to the cry in my mind.

Those times when in spirit,
our fingertips would brace,
prying open closed hearts
that had been slammed shut
by a life swung hard.
What fear brings this memory,
doesn't every tree stand alone
until you look below the ground.

All Rights Reserved.
can you
believe it?!

I almost
felt a
flickering
of fire
in my soul.

For a
minute
I wondered
if it all
had meaning,
and just
like that the
fire was
gone.

But still
...
I almost
lived today,
...
can you belive it?

I don't want to be in your bed sheets.
And I don't want you tangled up in mine,
I made my bed this morning.
I don't want you in my bed sheets,
Tangled up in them
Entwined
As if they were the vines of lust,
Binding you to the mirage of Us
The vines of love are coated with dust,
It's dangerous.
It's slippery.
Wet like the ocean as soon as you dip in me.
They say the ocean is deep and within it lie secrets...
Kiss me farewell and dive to the bottom of the seven seas just to keep it.
I don't want to go swimming in my bed sheets.
Then they'd be drenched from the high tides of expired desire
I don't want to wring out the deception that you perspire
I don't want to make my bed again.
My laundry is clean.

Ayaba Babe
Sometimes we pretend to be dead
So that we can remain alive.
Ring them bells
Let the people know
That Christ was born today
Ring them bells
Let the people know
That today is Christmas Day

Hook up the horses
Hook up the sleigh
Head off to church
No time to play

God gave his son
As a saviour of man
Believe what you will
or Believe what you can

Ring them bells
Let the people know
That Christ was born today
Ring them bells
Let the people know
That today is Christmas Day

Three Kings did travel
From the east by a star
It was a sign from on high
That led them so far

He was only a baby
And his story is told
With gifts of Frankincense
Myrrh and some gold

Ring them bells
Let the people know
That Christ was born today
Ring them bells
Let the people know
That today is Christmas Day

He didn't live long
Only made thirty three
But his lessons still thrive
Inside you and me

We celebrate Christmas
not the holiday season
For the angels fore told
His life is the reason

Ring them bells
Let the people know
That Christ was born today
Ring them bells
Let the people know
That today is Christmas Day

So, hook up the horses
and hook up the sleigh
Get them bells ringing
Today's Christmas Day
