Someone's misery
wrapped up in someone's international policy
Sanctions to prove a point, to enforce power
another political pact helps another culture cower
We are modernised, we are westernized
A lot of the world though seems unsatisfied
Terrorism the new currency on the playing field of negotiations
Suffering increases and yet bankers commit suicide with stock market fluctuations
Keep it short, to the point, and hopefully inoffensive
This world has made me sceptical and apprehensive

Get on the government payroll
Sign up and get the dole
Everything paid
No role you have played
There are some circumstances beyond your control
At times we dont know how the dice will roll
But throughout our nation there runs a strong vein of laziness
Prosperity has unleashed its own form of craziness
If it is there then greedy hands will dive in and take whatever they can
Perhaps if it wasn't you'd be forced into another plan
Needles given to a  ***** so they can continue with ease
Money given to parasites so they can provoke and tease
A welfare system that aids sedentary obesity
A welfare system that needs a thunderous intake of reality

You thought with the passing of time your wounds would heal,
The scars remain though reminding you how you feel
Years elapse
Our memories collapse
And so upon them we do build
We craft a way into the optimistic blue sky
Far from the conflicts
The wars on why

you never knew that you helped me to breathe
you never knew the day you decided to leave
that I lost a piece of me.
we spoke, it was nice,
it was a bit too late,
your life and your thoughts
you would always complicate
you never knew the importance of who you were
you lost your way,
lost the love of your children
and eventually lost the will to exist
you never knew my kids,
but then you never really knew your own
it hurts to think
you never really knew how I cried,
how I felt so alone
you were never there
you never offered guidance or some words to help see clear through the crazy days
you certainly knew though that your gift of nothing became the greatest gift received
I loved you
I told you
soon after, you died
but not before I felt your pain, and sat with you as you cried

Some folk they look at me like I'm a kind of freak
I'm not an alien, just half Greek
Do I not fit into your idealistic world of uniformity
Just like every other one of us on this planet I hold my own position of exclusivity
You stare and you don't care
You judge with animosity and angst
Your nose turns to the north
The look of disgust written all over your face
I think I'm quite presentable and hopefully not a burden to your visuals
Maybe at dawn we can meet and share 10 paces and pistols
I know I don't fit in, I'm not what you might call your average dude
But a simple good morning would raise spirits and i wouldn't think you were being so ******* rude
We all are different but there are so many who cannot accept individuality
To be the same is to copy , it is to emulate so as to always feel for your existence that you have security
Outside of your totalitarian ways
The tree lined avenues I walk are lit by sunny days
I smile and you cant, for the Botox and bodge jobs have ironed out your emotions
Take my name off your list , and don't keep me in mind when its time for promotions

blink
think
drink
discover
a lover
a person to hold
a reason to be bold
breathe to believe
to never deceive
banish the dark
make an impact, a mark
show a cold heartless world
how to prosper amidst the selfish
how to live beyond the want of a wish
enjoy and revel
life on a calm level

If it is love on your lips
that you can taste,
then you know that kiss
will never be a waste
Emotions collide,
bonded for an eternity
At times a tempest
then a steady flow of serenity
One look
One hold
Fate is sealed
Pain is healed
