Your eyes sing like a siren

wailing away my uncertainties

spiraling into endless eternities -

We explore uncharted seconds, momentary flashes of time,

together, casting echoes, shadows and stones

reflections glancing across the water, temporal excitations

reverberating across the plane that divides

the fading space between you and I.
I grabbed your glance, and held it tightly,

grasping it in my hand like the first moment I saw you–

Hazily gazing across the room,

the fire in your eyes became stuck in my mind,

like a pharaoh in a tomb, enveloped with riches,

but lonely, waiting for the perfect moment,

to release himself into the afterlife;

Little does he know,

One can’t rise from the dead,

least of not you,

enjoying the depths.
You are like the moon, the stars

you only appear when I’m asleep,

when I’m away, when I can’t see,

Can’t hear, or don’t want to, at the very least.

I am like the sun, I suppose,

floating down the other side

blue river behind and in the sky I shine

but in the dark you glow,

and its magnificent.
You are an echo in an empty room,

caused by a sound no person could hear,

and I wonder if its just that you find your solace,

in making sure nobody ever gets too near.

Your mouth is a faucet, left open a little,

dripping drops of water in the bottom of the sink,

but your eyes speak volumes, and now I wonder

why you keep trying to swim upstream.

Somewhere, there must be a little black table,

reserved just for the two of us.
