My fists hurt, they sting
From overuse on that
Little ******* who dared
Call you a *****
With all his little *******
Friends, who now lie
With him on the floor
All covered with blood
Bruises already purpling
All over their ******* bodies

I feel my mobile vibrate
I start in surprise
Most people have given up
On my technological habits
By now, they don't bother
A smile overtakes my face
When I see her name
But a car honks and
I barely step out of its
Way. The phone goes inside
My pocket, forgotten again

I wished she'd look me
In the eyes and just hold me
Even if just for the night
Though I can't ever stay
After every run,
I would return to her,
Her arms, her scent,
The sound of her heart

But she never does tell me
Those little worthless boxes
That we call cell phones
Might be revered but
They don't compensate
For the times when she
She's in-front of me, her eyes
Looking straight into mine
Her smile burning, in my vision

If she stood like that,
And just told me
I would run, run, run

But every night, when suspicious
Sounds can be heard outside
I would come in through her window
Take the extra pillow
Accept her heart,
Engulf her within my arms
Simply stay for the night
Just hold her and be still
Protect her, comfort her
If only for that night

I'd pray for subsequent nights
But that would be the only time
The only person, I'd ever, ever
Stay for, if only for a few hours
Every day.
There's a bit of bad language. Not my usual style or preference but I thought it emphasized how immature, possessive, etc, this guy could get. Hopefully, the rest makes this guy seem polished and well-mannered in general.
Response to Stay by Katrine Lif. We're having a response build-up and it is really exhilarating.
Any comments on this project are heartily welcomed by the both of us. :)

Do read it. It'll make more sense that way but without it works as well, though not as well. :P

If I could reach up, tear open the sky
and bring you down
I would,
because I miss you.

If I could build a ladder so **** high
to pay you a visit
I would,
Because I miss you.

If I could flap my arms, fly into the night,
and take you under my wing
I would,
Because I miss you.

If I could go; take to the streets, commission everybody that I meet to build the largest ever human pyramid from the bottom of the earth right to the lid and grab you by the cheeks and squeeze your face and remind myself of how your lips taste
I would,
Cos you know what? I miss you.

If I could stick a message in a bottle and shoot it in the air
And leave you a note to show I still care
I would.
And in it I would write
'I miss you'.

If you were the sky
Then I'd be the sea
And when you shined bright
It would reflect in me.
When you're at rest
Then I am steady.
If you wanna get rough
I'm always ready.
Past closing at the bars
If you show me the stars
I'll open right up
And cast them out far.
And on the darkest night
If you won't shine a light.
Then I'm silent alongside you
Until you feel right.
We'll meet at the horizon
Where lovers will stare
And wonder with passion
Why they can't meet there.
And you'll share me a kiss
As bright as two suns.
When they meet in the middle
I'll know the days done.
And I can tell that's your way of saying to me.
Goodnight my love.
If you were the sky and I were the sea.

You want me to be Brutal                                     You want me to be Brutal

or do you want me to blunt.                                or do you want me to be blunt.

Disregard your feelings.                                        Realize your feelings.

Let me crush your soul.                                        Let me find your heart.

I'll show you the real me, once again.                I’ll show you the fake me, once again.

I just want to hurt you.                                         I just want to care for you.

Do you enjoy my truths?                                     Do you enjoy my lies?

I would speak truths upon truths for spite.      I would speak lies upon lies for love.

I'd share this poem.                                              I'd share this poem.

To break your spirit.                                             To embrace your spirit.

The truths only breaks you.                                The lies only breaks me.

I could never speak them.                                    I could always speak them.

I would fall to pieces.                                           I would fall to pieces.
She'll never see this so I can name it directly after her, but I didn't anyway(almost though). Only if I could change my feelings.
It's funny what you do to me, and I know funny.
I go up on stage and tell ****** jokes for a living,
and look super bad *** while doing it.
But now you've got my *** terrified. Paranoid to breathe because I'm afraid it will be my last
and you won't be there to see it.
Yes, it's cliche. But you do have me listening to love songs, you do have me putting on make up,
you do have me running up mountains so I can have a body you can enjoy while we make-
out in your car to Beyonce songs.
You once told me that I "was the more beautiful person to grace this Earth" but Lover, I see your
grace in everything on this Earth.
And snow makes me smile because you like to ski and I'm from Canada so my face hurts
         frequently.
Trench mapped hands, a sign of how many battles you've fought and won, how many battles
you've fought and lost, how many times you've picked yourself up off the dirt, smiled at me
and said "I'm fine, are you okay?"
Honestly, I have no idea how the most flawed person in the world, a girl who leaves her wet
towels everywhere, a girl who puts her keys in the same place but manages to forget where
they are, a girl who plays Assassin's Creed for 3 hours without blinking and wears that like a
proud Metal Of Honor, how can that girl make the most perfect person in the work happy?
Answer? I have no clue, but you don't have to cheat on any test, because I'll stay. As long as you
          want me to, I'll stay.
Here for you when you get weepy, or angry, or curious to see what we can do behind closed doors.
I won't say "I love you". Not because it's not true. Nothing could be more true. But if I say it, I'll cry,
You'll kiss me, and I can't guarantee what will happen to our clothes after that.
So instead, I'll keep making the "that's what she said" jokes, until you're reminded of snow, or
            maps, or breathing.
And I have fallen so hard for you that stone boarders between countries couldn't stop your
           gravitational pull.
And like willow tree roots growing into shorelines, I get wetter every time you hold me.
So, I'll send you Steven King length facebook messages everyday.
I'll ring up my phone bill to $500.
Light candles for 3 hour skype dinners.
Because, long distance relationships are hard, but not being able to call you "mine" is excruciating.
Because, it's funny what you do to me.
Because, I love funny.
Performed at The Bowery Poetry Club (2012)

Author: This poem was written for my girlfriend while I was touring the States. It was the first poem I ever wrote for her and the first poem I ever performed in public.
The birth of what I wont give
A tragedy of likeness
And softness
With the brightest parts of the day
Left with your eyes wide open
Let me down from the path
Let me dare not stop
And harvest dropping anthems from becoming Christ
Little by and bothered
Wiley or not ready to erupt
Cannon burst of hard
Stale muscled smoke drifts
And signal no one that hasn’t sank to the bottom
Even the strongest man sank with a heart of iron
And fast too
Letting the rich man
The little snake
Charm between his life
And forever live it.

How it feels to become a pilot
Before the plane crashes down
And always you’re dancing them down
When they finally wrap themselves around you
Grabbing the first hair hanging low
Just truth that rises behind us is whole
Truth behind the eyes that never look twice

I will never be able to speak
As one at peace with the bronze statue
Of how I talk
Oh my what did I say
Did I leave the best parts out again
About how I looked back
Ridiculous
It never happened.

Taking a turn
On this feeling
This animal feeling
Covered in fur
Bleeding of instinct
Of an animals who loves his mother
A quick side
I am the last take on this disease
More of a last right they never took in
Go leave it
And never bring another letter
Just to say I’m still not coming back
You should see how everything shutters
And how everything shakes when I wake up
To the time I sleep
Loosening the life beside the cracking concrete
I’ve got a little in me
What hasn’t left me
What I’ve been selling to get me by
Sometime we forget that real people
Everyday and out
Run their lives and hearts mad
With questions of god and love
Neither of which matter
Neither of which ever existed
And if they did
If they did they would’ve stayed far away from me
Because I would’ve been running
When they came to town
I just hope my feet never break
By then my skin would change color
By then what smells like wet fur

You want to make a dollar
And you want to be free
You know nothing better happens after the sunrise
And not one person who believes in hell
Has been there.

With every set fire burning on
The truest of animals brought themselves
Before the man could send them off
To keep his kids safe and hidden
While red clouds by wind above
Are breaking upon the mountaintop of dawn
And what it brings in cold morning
In giving its charity of water
Kept our ****** hearts swelled and large
We have never been blind but we have never seen
And we haven’t had a clue of war beside us
No we turned the other way and never looked back
But I looked back farther away to see
That just out of sight sat the daughters of trial
And swift judgment is done onto the ones who stay back
Letting their feet curl under to stay warm in death
Settling the water rings on a slow ending cup
They’re ghost of satellites silvering sky
Bright on them of the day
When all of their horses are running
Dropping not so much a who was it
Or where was it
When they buried the immortal
But not a thief stealing of what never returns
What will always comes back is something never worth taking
Not love given lightly or speaking during song
Never the blind man peers but pulls and pulls
Nothing between clearly fixed is the warmth kept inside
Mothering the carelessness of not throwing out tomorrow’s fiction
Let the children know about death and why we care about it
The creator isn’t destroying himself how he said he would
How was your mother anyway, darling?
How have you been?
Where have you dug to this time?
What have you found a thousand feet below?
Thought of a symphony that never played
Bells, oh their songs bellow about the pouring rain drowning you
Should’ve been a salesman
Knowing there is no gold
So don’t go digging for it
And what’s been found
It’s been taken
Lost
Found again
And taken back
It’s always best people who never start.
Light as ever being a savage in horror
Looking on the world as a glimpse
Ever shot in justice is a false heart tearing down
I hope you’re warm tonight
I hope before the clapping that everybody stands
Before the bow the doors to an empty room close
Did you ever see something so wonderful

What’s only wonderful
Makes me wonder
What’s only beautiful
Makes me wild
What’s only sinking
Makes me swim
What’s only wrong
Makes me worse
What’s only you
Makes me mad
What’s only gone
Makes me found.

What you are
A person but more
Something to think about
Something to frame my god
What good would you be
If you weren’t wrapped in silk
If you weren’t less than a diamond is bright

Gotta get that new right feeling
Gotta fell what I felt that day
But my shoes beat my path
So there I go out again
Wiley or not
There’s a reason for this one
Where there wasn’t before, you know?
I cant wait to take the bus and notice the faces
I cant wait to destroy someone new
And I surely cant wait to be so far out of luck
That my knees split ever step towards you
I want that
I want that of what I think of
I want our names written on the wall and have someone defile it
I want the world to hate us so much
And we’ll tumble them all night

Don’t worry about me yet
You stepped right behind
What you always though better
I’m a fool I don’t mind
And maybe you’re wrong
I’m sure you’re right
But no matter its love that’s around you
Here is my wish
Be it something that’s not what everyone see
But I feel it’s best
I wanted to fly but there was no wind
So took off walking beside you
I felt a shake
I knew it when I said
that I couldn’t stand by and by
without you anymore
but if it’s death you brought so near
you never wore me out for everything you were

Speeding home on a hot summer evening,
You can see the storms brewing
On the horizon, far off over the
Still farms.  What a waste of space.

The road is the barrel of a gun,
We the bullet, rushing through it,
To get to the light we see at the end,
So fast you can hardly tell the difference
Between the corn rows and the trees.

As the sun crawls down below the
Horizon CAUTION: CONGESTED AREA.
SLOW DOWN.  We don’t.  Crumbling wooden
Buildings, peeling paint.  A few stragglers
Still working listlessly in this tiny town.

We whip into the driveway, you
Hop out before we can stop,
And you sprint off at a thunderclap.
