"I shall not yield" she gasped aloud
As crimson streaks ran down her face
"Who then, shall avenge them now?"
"If I should fall in this place?"
Her opponent circled, draped in black
Who scoffed at her address
"Thy flame burns thinner with each attack."
"Come, let me put thy light to rest."
From one knee she rose, true and tall
To let all who witnessed attest
That no knight of Golden thrall
Would succumb as easily as the rest
The golden knight gripped her glaive
As her opponent lunged with hate
He roared "To the sun, you're but a slave."
Thrusting forth his twisted stave
And in that instant, the duel was set
Her weapon clean through his chest
"May the sun shine brightly on you yet."
"Now sleep in golden rest."
