Mr E Mar 2016
When your foot falls asleep in tingled slumber.
You cannot feel a thing, as if it weren't there at all.
No matter how hard you hit it or slam it to the ground.
You can't feel a thing.
Perhaps this is how my heart is.
For I've never fallen in love,
as if my heart has fallen asleep.
Mr E Mar 2016
When life comes tumbling down,
as walls do sway and shake.
Though you claw and drown,
you're left with sole keepsake.
Your name is an image
that people know from hill to glen.
Your name is all you have,
when your world comes crashing in.
Mr E Feb 2016
Everyday I live my life wondering,
when will I be good enough.
When I reach that level,
where the world falls behind me.
And I no longer think but do.
When will we be good enough,
to have for only a second of fame?
We all wonder this.
If not now then later.
Always lingering in the back of our heads.
Mr E Feb 2016
It is interesting to see
that the most depressing people around me
are the ones with the least problems.
Is it because they see the world for what it is
and handle it with ease?
Or is it simply that they care no more?
Mr E Feb 2016
She sat beside him
and he beside her
with fingers intertwined.
And as the sun crept down
with harmonious glow
'cross the hill
the bell tower chimed.
Mr E Feb 2016
Man was born to build
and to create his own wonders to call it his.
That is why we love progress so much,
which is why we always want to make something new.
To call something ours
and to be proud.
This is why man must go on.
Mr E Jan 2016
Man has sought for things he can't have
and what a sad venture it has been.
Clawing for a an end,
fighting for the last chapter,
he has dug for gold he'll never find.
Man deluded himself.
Because this is the way of the world,
the way the clock works or
how the sun shines.
There is a price to all things
and so
the price of man having happiness
is paid
in the end
with despair.
