Looked around to make sure he wasn’t seen
Then with a self-mocking grin
He put on the funniest pair.

His face glowed in an unimaginable happiness
Born of his fanciful whim
And the secret was only known to him.

He felt he had stumbled on a precious find
To hide in his mind all day.

His feet too felt tickled
By those strange disparate mates
How everyday sameness they hate.

As for his shoes
They hadn’t a clue.

(he chuckled)

Like is not heard the nocturnal bird’s wing
They would never have inkling
No one
About this grotesque fun.

It harmed nobody
Not to know the secret of his feet
All day he would be carrying with
His selfish change-seeking self.

When he sat and the trousers went up
The sight of his own feet
Almost gave him a hiccup.

(he chuckled)

Come boy if this is not boundless joy
what is?

Back home
He threw them in the wash-tub
Only to catch next morn her surprised stare.

You’ve worn again

*Socks from two different pairs!

Oh !Do not love
If you do not have the ability to solve the aftermath of love….

If you read my poetry my love
For they are conquering bereavement
To bring you back, my words are arranging a court of river
To sail you on the court my pens are breaking down and turning into a boat….
For you my love, I have learned dangers have no shadow
If a tragedy closes a door, it also opens a new door
For a memory is lost by another memory
Though you will live in my poetry century after century……

I become motionless when I look at your Azure –grave mystical eyes
My love I don’t know how to swim.
I am an Illiterate, love makes me so
You the mystic lady,
Taught me how to deceive this deceitful world without deceiving…
Don’t trust lady, separation is the only solution
When everything fails Death receives the admiration…….

Tonight our breaths
move the sea...toward the shore
...away from you ---
warms, then cools...

A kiss or two?
from the strokes of seasons across her skin.

Tonight our breaths
are secrets revealed;
then captured, enraptured by the stars.
Be still, you say. We are being watched;
as I press closer to listen
Heartbeats not our own,
(to whom do we belong?)
murmurs deep within the earth,
resound like the fine grains of sand
in an hour glass.

Waves crash!
The salt begins to sting our eyes.
We've left them open, burning --
til the daylight dresses her with gold

All is fair and washed
away, except only ---
could we have lingered longer with the sea?

we had dreams
when we laid on our backs
and saw the stars
for the very  first time
those tiny specks of light
finally came into focus
and those holes in our heads
finally opened to the world
our hopes grew with us
and all along we saw the world through
a ruby red tint
we were to busy to blink
oh, those long nights
spent staring at blank walls
trying to form an idea
of everything around us
and even through
the hardships and pains
we still had each other
to shield us from the world

Take bread away from me, if you wish,
take air away, but
do not take from me your laughter.

Do not take away the rose,
the lance flower that you pluck,
the water that suddenly
bursts forth in joy,
the sudden wave
of silver born in you.

My struggle is harsh and I come back
with eyes tired
at times from having seen
the unchanging earth,
but when your laughter enters
it rises to the sky seeking me
and it opens for me all
the doors of life.

My love, in the darkest
hour your laughter
opens, and if suddenly
you see my blood staining
the stones of the street,
laugh, because your laughter
will be for my hands
like a fresh sword.

Next to the sea in the autumn,
your laughter must raise
its foamy cascade,
and in the spring, love,
I want your laughter like
the flower I was waiting for,
the blue flower, the rose
of my echoing country.

Laugh at the night,
at the day, at the moon,
laugh at the twisted
streets of the island,
laugh at this clumsy
boy who loves you,
but when I open
my eyes and close them,
when my steps go,
when my steps return,
deny me bread, air,
light, spring,
but never your laughter
for I would die.
