She looks at the horizon,
blue-violet against the sun.
Fading into the open sea,
calm as her breath.

A sudden pain in her chest,
her heart beats fast.
Fear grips her down.
But, wanes with her moan.

She remembers laughter,
beautiful memories.
She remembers life trials.
How she conquered them all!

She remembers love,
all she took and gave.
She remembers nothing more,
no ill feelings within her.

She smiles and stares,
beyond the fading light,
past the emerging stars.
Finally, she’s at peace.
'A beautiful death.'

When does life begin?
At the crack of dawn,
as a new born wails
in the arms of his mum?

In his early teens?
When discoveries unfold,
first heart-aches seen?
Trials of a man-child.

Or, in his forties?
Serious commitments,
responsibilities,
as the body deteriorates?

Life starts with a promise.
First rays of the sun,
then suddenly demise
into big drops of rain.

Life can be bitter.
Yet, if we can see through…
Accept life better.
Only then, we can breathe.
'Celebrating life.'

Dark, grey clouds in the sky,
unending rain cascades.
Some chilly air blows by
as it swirls savagely.
Water drips everywhere,
icy cold and sticky wet.
Some inconveniences,
bad weathers of our lives.
How we wish for the sun.
How we hope for such warmth.
Then again, after the rain…
A rainbow may be seen.
And, there is always tomorrow
for the sun may chose to show.
But, then again, if not…
Just don’t forget our umbrella,
for us to make it through the rain.
'A poem of hope.'

Many times, you have been fooled
of beautiful promises.
Yet, you still hold,
waiting for news.

Countless times, you have been hurt
of people you dearly love.
How you’ve grown numb.
And still you hope.

You’ve encouraged many lies,
smiled with your innocent face.
You can only sigh,
wait for the best.

You seek for sincerity,
of mankind’s pure honesty.
Imperfections-
such faults of men.

You can only sympathize,
being human as they are.
To trust and hope,
for the good within their hearts.
'Believing in people.'

Majestic ethereal being,
beautiful creature from above.
More than a perfect face,
noble heart without flaws.

He walks among mortal men,
in a darkened lonely path.
He seeks for the lost,
bringing them hope.

Only a few sees his kind.
Many take them for granted.
Blinded by selfishness,
corrupted by malice.

Earth angels are a rare find,
with broken wings and all.
Pity for those who seek,
an angel for a friend.

Yet a blessing for those,
finding an angel within a friend.
'Friends are heaven sent.'

You like beautiful women,
I admire them too.
Yet, when I point out a guy,
You’ll say he is gay.
You snicker at my music.
You sneer at my books.
You mess up with my cell phone,
as if yours, not mine.

You love horrific movies.
I would take a peek.
We watched Titanic once,
you fell asleep.
You grimace at my hair cut.
You shun my cousins.
You pass up many parties,
and didn’t ask me.

They say we do not belong,
different and all.
Still, you held on to my hand,
revealed me the way.
You kissed my laughter and tears,
heeded my ramblings.
You sacrificed many things,
that I’ve love you more.

Bear with me, my beloved.
Come grow old with me.
We’ll have our differences,
and always our respect.
I desire your sarcasm.
I want your nonsense.
Because without them from you,
Never can I irritate you.

'Life is never empty.'

To live forever is a gift.
Men can grasp unto their dreams,
incessant opportunities,
to try all over again.

Such chance is to nurture wisdom,
to understand the world,
and to discover the secrets,
of the past and present.

A delight to see the future,
and witness the rise of new worlds.
everlasting great breakthroughs,
a festive treat for the mind.

Yet, living forever – a curse.
Mind and body can grow weary,
to see everyone you know dies,
go  on and on, eternally.

Immortal men can be envious,
of souls at peace in heaven.
While they, forever remain,
wandering into the earth.
