waiting to steal you away
I pray it passes us by

no doubt today

I have heard that's
when we're at our

what I was taught
maybe that's my conscious
or my fear of getting caught.

What is the price of change
at its worst
broken lands
millions of dollars
and a great deal of blood
is it worth it
well
only history can say
in history
the grand scheme is
just a touch easier to see.

Their beautiful
And terrifying
Those rocks
In your skull
Everything goes in
And nothing comes out
They weren't always there
Once they were softer.

As you go
You gather grime
Depending on where you go
You gather more or less
But almost certainly
Not none

And When my days are done
I hope what's left
Is not too obscured with grime.

If you have enough power
you can make
people do many things
you can make
them weak
them fear
them bend
but you can't make
them love you.

Questions questions
So many
I can't answer
They drive into my brain
And nothing comes out
But rage and more questions
It makes me wonder if their

A good answer that is

It can be a strange

it went
poorly
I try to capture wisdom
and wit
with words
but my attempts
fall flat

any aspiring authors
want to let me steal your work.
