Toss the present
into a box
so the future
can laugh at the past
or feel like archaeologists
which is more clinical
maybe learn something new
like what fools we were
and how similar we were to them
might be something worth selling
who can say.

By the book
society should flow
if it doesn't

someone has to correct it.

Wander where you will
and sow discord
for a reason if you will
for fun if you want.

it's interesting
to see a burning heart
ignored
passion and dedication
should get

shouldn't it

maybe they stopped paying

who was suppose
to care about such things.

The world is ending

asked the bored clerk.

What weeds
cannot be taken out

can be shaped

The words circle me
not like vultures
they don't care
what happens to me
it's possible i'm a vulture
waiting for the words
to fall upon the page
certainly no hunter
seeking them out
at the library
or wherever they flock
for the best really
all the best word hunters
are crazy or dead
which is awful.
