Seeing the good in someone is my fatal flaw
When will I ever learn that you can’t save them all

My soul is a thousand years old
I carry the burdens and baggage of many lifetimes
I've loved and lost over centuries
And I wonder which life was the best of them all

When I first met you I was high off of all the pheromones and adrenaline but deep down I knew that I was driving on a one way track off a steep cliff with you. But in the heat of the moment as long as you were by my side it felt like the single handed best decision I had ever made. I was terrified because I knew I would eventually reach the bottom but the thrill of it all lead to my temporary insanity.

I reached the bottom of the pit but I’m alone now trying to figure out how it ever made sense. How was I EVER that self destructive version of me?

I had this dream that’s been haunting me and I can’t shake the feeling it’s left behind. I dreamt I had just had an intimate encounter with a stranger. He held my hand and lead the way to a beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean. Out of nowhere he counted to three and let go of my grasp as I watched him leap. I stood back in fear. The rest of the dream I was trying to get back to that moment and change my decision but it was too late. I regretted this moment with every molecule in my composition. When I awoke I was left with the most hollow reminder of my pain and it still hasn’t dissipated.

I can’t tell you about this dream but want you to know
If only I knew what would have been waiting below
I wanted to leap but I was too scared I would fall
The irony is I’m too late, I ruined it all.

No one will ever have my name or face or fingerprint or ancestry or thoughts or vocabulary or experiences or memories or relationships and that’s like insanely beautiful, no?

Reality can be such an unforgiving *****

Love is the rarest and the most magical feeling
When you’re forced to destroy it, it loses all meaning
