the natural rhythm and flow of life
runs contrary to suffering, strife
those who cheered my spirit's bars
appear to me as cruellest tsars
in my mind i've come to realise
that i've been living deep in lies
the glorious truth to me is told
in cosmic joke, it is ******* gold
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
The twittering of birds has gone
By the time of Sunrise
The scene is much more bleak and wan
For their departure from the skies
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
The Universe - a sublime song

Opera of God

Crescendo of the cosmos

By holy men applaud

Descant of creation

Sunrise writes the score

A hymn for every nation

To put an end to war
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
She walks with rough and magic air
His words are rare, rare as care
Epiphanies dwell in there
His rhymes have rhythym, they strive, they dare
Begetting visions wild, rhapsodic
From tongue tender and melodic
Musings refined, methodic
Articulating life's magic
She sights him, stares, from the bar
Where has he been? Has he wandered far?
By what thing could he be marred?
She falls deep, she falls hard
A love as deep and wide as skies
Conveyed by the smile that's in his eyes
He has her, captured, mesmerized
As the molecules of passion are synthesized
How many times have Poets cried
Of Love like this, souls intertwined
Love, activity refined
Incessant, by no fence confined
Before she was waking to go blind
But now she sees; sees kindred kind
Out of the gutter he lifts her mind
Mutual treasures they do find
Still she walks with rough and magic air
To the beat of his words, rare as care
All joy and all love soars in there
You can sense it in his enchanting stare
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
The voice will not be vanquished
The flame will not be killed
The spark never relinquishes
Despite the Devils who have shilled
Wielding their lacklustre lassoo
To strangulate the Angels
With their pretentious plans I am through
I stick my fingers up to hell
They could only dream
Of making the Angel's sound
Which comes in lucid dream upon a beam
In its splendour we were drowned
Till one day you decided
That we deserved the music no more
But your vanity will be derided
By the public, enlightened more than you for sure
You think you're so magnificent
And magical, divine
But your hearts don't beat, you have no soul
Your spirit has no shine
Like I've said before you've shilled
To a devil sent to spread
Sedition against our true heart's bliss
So I say off with the King's haughty head
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
O people, o people, my feet may be wet,
But my heart is warm and bright like the sun,
Besides my vision, is of divinest precision,
From whence my salvation's effusion.

But if in society they'd accept that we see,
And not proscribe our divinity to lunacy,
We'd run, with the sun, having fun, all at one,
A march with our brothers and sisters begun.

Then the tyrant might cower and the cruel priest retire,
Scared by our soul's revolutionary fire,
Angels will rub their heads and wake from their beds,
Realising their children had only slumbered, not fled.

So is it right to deny us a drink and a smoke?
For who in the cold would turn down a ****?
We need warmth in the absence of comforts and flame,
To dwell in God's love, not society's shame
Megan Sherman Mar 2017
I think the real sacred geometry is the symmetry of her heart
That burns with exquisite compassion
For all creatures, whom she considers teachers
Who can guide us with their wise action
In the forests of the spirit she silently dwells
In a quantum of solace, a magic bubble
There her passion swells and wells
Awoken by Love's rabble
Cantering over the planes of the world
She looks deep inside every straggling soul
Tries to show them their truest path unfurled
To make them feel nourished, whole
Without her I would not be able
To break free from the spirits stable
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
In rapid strokes of flight
Stangest Choreography
The birds ascend, and do attend
To Trees and to Geography

Begetting song, that drifts along
Splendid Musicality
Dancing through the skies
With magnificent Theatricality
Megan Sherman Mar 2023
The wise are more sparse than they were
The chains of ignorance
Weigh down upon beleaguered world
And hubris, arrogance

But Knowledge shall liberate the minds
Under tyrant’s spell
His miserable plans would be at home
In the catacombs of hell
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
The Word upon its wayward route
Goes magic to earnest ears
That strive to hear the ancient lute
Which could move stone hearts to tears
Between the trees it, gentle, blows
Perceptible to some
The Truth will have them rapt in throe
Its music they will happy hum
From rejoicing mouth to rejoicing mouth
On wayward route Word goes
Centrifugally, heading South
Till every spirit knows
       I think I rose, Love, I think I rose
To know divine sense within me grows
Megan Sherman Mar 2018
The world in bloom - like a song
Trills out divinest revelry
No fires - nor magic - doth outshine
Tune of magnanimity
Birds - sweet crescendo
Descant - of the noon
Bees - buzzing alto
Sounds on which to swoon
An opera - a ballad
The bounty - Earth's beau boon
The opera - evolution
Ballad - winter's moon
Sonata - of the summer
Suffice to inspire poet's croon
Lullabies - cross shores - o'er sands
Cross meadows - o'er dunes
Nature - fine conductor
One sultry song - divine
Astir - amidst the flowers
Beauty twin to thine
No greying restrained reason
Restrains raw rancorous rhyme
Turning - of the seasons
Sounds of Heaven - sublime
Morning - augmented melody
Sunrise - writes the score
Pure - as hymns - of Sunday
Tell of a pious war
All things bright and beautiful
In tune - beyond the door
That - therein - the song of life
What God's voice is for!
Megan Sherman Jul 2020
The world is but a dream that glows in gold,
That sadly, lesser men have bartered, sold
Her heart is Nature, ailed by Men's designs,
As her bounty they divide and confine,
The birds sing sweet rebellion, defy the hand
That dissect, but do not understand
The world betrayed by Man's tempestuous war
A sordid scheme the righteous mind abhor
Megan Sherman Oct 2020
The world is wonder to a child
They innocent in awe
It's enough to make you wonder
What cynicism is for
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
The World of God is impalpable
Transcends time and location
But the Soul and its perfection
Can be reached by true vocation
Committed to ascending
To the Upper World in stages
Visions sublime, which transcend Time
You see the world as sages

Eternal and transcendent
Beyond category or compare
I bask in All resplendent
For power dwells in there
Yield to the cosmic flow of Love
That universal Philosophy
Make peace on Earth as above
And All will yield to harmony
Megan Sherman Jan 2017
The world to me a heaven is
Its resplendent joys therein I seek
One kingdom drenched in bliss
A sanctuary for spirits meek
Natures triumph is a wonder
Mortal ears rapt by her thunder
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
The world without you in it
Is pain too fierce to bear
Missing the core part of my soul
When I wake and you're not there
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
May the fire of your Heart smoulder among us, O Faerie,
Blessed and restorative, and inspire us to dance.

We are cynics in our jaded and bitter realism,
Our eyes are like scalpels, dissecting a Lion.

Be brave and fly o'er their weary heads, my Love,
And may your blessings rain like cosmic snow,
Like rice thrown at a wedding to sanctify the union.

May they feel your warmth, my Love, and therein see,
The crux of life; let them breathe and dream and in that truth be spirited.

Take your place in the world's interstices, my Love.
A faerie flower bending to teach a human seed,
And when the sky runs out of daytime colours,
Retire to your worship of the night's elusive spirit.
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
They shut them up in jails

When a rebel fights

They silence lady liberty

In power's sordid night

But wire is not as sharp

As brains that betray

Schooling and conditioning

For liberated day
Megan Sherman Mar 2018
The things I cherish are artful creatures
Nature's most exquisite teachers
To which the saints and bards are preachers
In iridescent, bright, immortal hour
World imbued with deep and cosmic power
Of evolution, through time showers
The dance of nature, drift in a dream
Which come in streams upon a beam
Life's truth vivid and supreme
Love is life's Dean, picture the scene
All hearts serene
Megan Sherman May 2017
This is all I have to say right now -
Love, and, I must say, Bless -
Love, and laughter, and all the music -
Wherein souls coalesce -
Be sure you heed - lest you miss -
Some ears the message get -
Love, and laughter, and all the music -
Which the fullness of time beget.
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
This is my statement to my Love
Who never Loved for me
For being consumed by others
That sad epiphany

He is uncommitted
To the romance of the soul
For love of Him I've been committed
I won't repair at all
Megan Sherman Jul 2018
This life - is like a liquor - sweet
Intoxicating bliss
‘Tis to be a poet
To see sunshine as a kiss
To see the trees as folk of Earth
And ocean - as world’s blood
That keeps her ever living
That sweet - mysterious - flood
Life is an amazement
To her - I am stupefied in awe
She bustles in the tenements
Behind - beyond - every door
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
This Life is hardly over -
A stature blossoms tall -
Elusive - as a mystery -
But material - as wall -
Life riddles - and it riffs -
Theology - we guess -
And by a beckon finally -
Wisdom - truly show -
To imagine - it baffles sagest monks -
To yield it - we to Valhalla go -
Disdain of - thoughtful public -
To loss of babes - our woe -
Devotion tumbles - picks herself up -
Swoons - should any care -
Yielding truth's blossom -
Sings her exquisite blare -
And implores a compass - which way?
Mimes answer - to the crowd -
Fierce praises rumble - roll -
Yet anodyne - can't sully -
Pain - that mind appal -
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
Give me Revelation -
In this Life - not the next -
I'd rather glean it from the world -
Than a hermetic text -
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
This Love a treasure - it is rare
Conveys the purest urge
Brightens ordinary encounters
Which feel electric surge

Cascades through mind - through body
On faithful, sweet commute
A wonder transcendental
Love cannot be compute
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
This Love is not concluded.
The anguish is tough
He made it clear, I'm not his dear
I'm not affected enough
Megan Sherman Dec 2017
Many tears I've solemn cried
But in pain refuse to hide
Not for one who lied I lied
For I'm faithful; and have pride
In fathoms like ocean pure and wide
Decline the ticket for torment's ride
Though you will my hope to die
I can dream; I see the sky!
You sing a *******'s lullaby
And wonder why I'm mute and shy
Do you expect my joy enwrapt
For thee who my debasement clapped
Willed for me in torment trapped
Well try a bit harder perhaps!
For my mind's stronger than the tide
Have Heart and guts of queen inside
Fool takes me for a docile bride
To Hades, on a ghoullish ride
But to faith I abide
Commit to Heaven, not in hell's court tried
To righteousness I am allied
That light in me that never died
It was for Love the poets cried
Therein I free, my heart flied
I watched it soar with passion, pride
As I with angelic fate collide
Wended to freedom soared and glide
I am faithful, and have pride
You pray for bars behind my eyes
Forget that I can see the sky
Blessed by her enchanted shroud
My mind as lonely as a cloud
Blast by accusations loud
Is it me so vain and proud?
When vilest deeds on my mind crowd
And accusations roared and howled
But I am wed to brighter day
Unencumbered by insults you say
I do not see you on my way
With friends true I frolick, play
And soothe, assuage my sad dismay
For having been caged for the day
But to you I have never bowed
I have faith, and I am proud
Call me **** when I'm rare as earth
But Love will be found even in Love's dearth
For we her wisdom surely hath
Not embroiled in Devil's wrath
But you are faithless; also wrong
And did not account that I am strong
Casts words that render me as thing
But my mind hath meaning, and it sing
On golden wing aspiring
Grafting, never tiring
You try to rule me like Hong Kong
But your time's up; I've heard the gong
In my mind the love was strong
I am faithful; this my song
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
This thing it feels like dawn of love
A golden forest burnished pure
So harmony below, as above
An angel at my door
A peace in which I want to rove
Against which no quarrel, war
Charmed as a beau turtle dove
Irresistible to adore
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
Thou art is sweet and full of light
That casts spectacular ray upon the Truth
Consists in it immortal delight
Articulated on thy luscious mouth
By pained triangulations of ideas
You proclaim in immaculate cascade
The perfect insight to me appears
Captive to passion's serenade
Thou art is the joyful revolution
In every aching, anguished heart
To bask and wallow there is the solution
So long live thy enchanting art
      Beyond category or compare
In thy art gold sparks appear
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
O Beauty, thou art the tallest tree
In the jungles and forests of my desire
Dwelling under thy far spread canopy
I muse and verse upon thee until I tire
Upon thy natural, enchanting sight
Thy sweet and tempting, illustrious wiles
Which immerse my Heart in sheer delight
An undulating ocean of unchartered miles
Prithee Love, impart the knowledge
Of your overgrown and unkempt heart
In jungles of joy I go to forage
Intrepid, I, diligent, depart
When my lovelorn spirit is shown your treasure
It is vindicated for its endeavour
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
Though moral decay breeds soul's corruption

That offends Heaven, which desires purity

Still all spirits are vibrant with virtue's commotion

Possessed of passionate charity

Humanity is perverse indeed if void of care

For that beyond oneself, bigger than the ego

But such estrangement from Heaven's philosophy indeed is rare

Mutual concern abloom like rainbow

In Love pure hearts are kin

Passion a greater force than apathy

For passion has a world to win

Yet decline threatens the virtues

Which are precarious, transient

Man's moral ambivalence does God amuse
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
To change oneself in introspection
Is the gift of deep reflection
The Mind is a beautiful creation
Refined, aligned to meditation
Consists in it treasures untold
Perception a trickling stream of gold
I meditate more closely, the focus takes me higher
I feel the touch of cosmic fire
Vision is wide and deep as Ocean
To truth it must be in devotion
Sight will struggle to be free
From bars that cage it evilly
The Mind is built for communication
In it Ideas find respiration
Intangible are thoughts, but they
Can shine light, showing us the way
Megan Sherman Aug 2021
Through time, through space, a thread of love
Its totem, enchanted turtle dove
The pure perfection of the spheres
At which the humble spirit peers
As they survey the world above

The world of Gods is ever near
Making miracles appear
Music from the angel's heart
Fills eternity, no end, no start

For Heaven is a work of art
In which all souls play a part
The cosmic music emanates
To Earth from heavenly estate
And dissolves the cold ramparts
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
Thy heart shines with the light of a thousand beacons
As violent, vivid as a forest fire
In to its light my stray spirit is beckoned
Its radiant truth I crave and desire
Thou art the sum of thy passions
O guiding light to which we are wife
Compelling us to exquisite action
To succumb to the lust and love of life
Beacons light spreads by mimesis
Each pyre imitates the other's light
The fires are never still, in stasis
But ripple with cosmic delight
O Heart, thy beacon strikes on truth
The deepest fibre of my self is moved
Megan Sherman May 2017
'Tis a Yuletide morning: cold and bright,
There is potent magic astir in the breeze,
God's name spelled in stars over the night,
Spells and blessings doth blow through the trees,
The spirits of the interstices,
Stoke our enjoyment and revelation,
Grant all hopes and wishes fulfilment,
And leave the heart in gestation,
The transcendent music of all Earth's realm,
Goes round like a ribbon on the breeze,
The hibernating Rabbits, a warm heart beneath the hearth,
The hearth glittering with resplendent hues,
The chants of druids, round the witching stones,
Carried the praise of Earth to the skies,
Catholic prefers to atone,
But Pagan prefers to reject lies.
Megan Sherman Dec 2016
‘Tis gorgeous to behold a sky
The Poetry of night
In fathoms of the starry climes
Are deep, eternal delights

To see a flowering blossom
Perfect Geometry
Petals precisely unfurling
See Nature’s Dexterity

Passion is harnessed to music
In the Angel’s blare
I hearken to its melody
For magical music dwelled in there
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
"Tis gorgeous to behold a sky
"Magic" is the thing in flight
"Mercy" is a fiction
"Peace" can be found in the wild
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
'Tis horrible to wield a word
To slight and slander me
'Tis better to deploy them
For fable, myth and story

There are maddest multitudes in words
Contain divinest sense
It's possible to convey magic
In every single tense

But bastardize words cynically
If you really must
But know in slight you've broken
The cherishable crystal of my trust

A bard is hard to pigeonhole
So, really, mate, try it all you like
I'll be waxing lyrical
While you're still playing psych
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
'tis my letter to the world
but to write is omit, lie
perception chained redact truth's gold
suzerains divide, rule sky
true is good and good is you
for truth hath never sell
lightning, imagination
a bloom to vanquish concrete hell
Megan Sherman Aug 2017
Tis not for want of love I live
Now I know that to be vain
But the flower of my passion
Blossomed bright for lovelorn rain

I thought how hollow I had been
When of him I'd had no fill
Dreaming, rocking to and fro
At my windowsill

I wondered if he'd miss me
But for love he had no will
And if he would just kiss me
In noon perennial

But it's not for want of love I live
Now I know that to be vain
Tis for the love of life I give
And frolic once again
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
Amidst fire, flies cosmic sparks
A sight at which my spirit harks
Through fire cosmic power sung
Articulated on scintillating tongue
The guardian of the divine flame
Who awakens spirits, sleeping, lame
With molten lance, searing spirit
A snake through spine, feeling vivid
The ghostly self is slain

Amidst molten skies, go thunder bolts
On their sound my spirit dotes
The thunderous applause of lightning
Has potency is such it's frightening
A bolt of melody struck my head
When all the sorry world dropped dead
Awakening the tune inside
The salve to my spirit supplied
After it had bled

One ruby Sun my gorgeous idol
Nourishing the flowers bridal
Feeding flowers, tending seed
Giving care in hour of need
Giver of life, I honour you
You are a sacred spirit true
The most majestic of all fires
Worthy to be sung on lyres
For your touch I grew
Megan Sherman Nov 2016
This is to you, stalwart friend
For being nice, for being near
Your compassion has no start, no end
And so to me you’re very dear
Like symbiotic cells we share
We benefit together
You are an angel at my stair
I pray you, leave me never
Megan Sherman Feb 2018
Dearest, I did not think a year ago,
When through a throng I saw you sway,
Caught your eyes, majestic in their show,
And felt a brightness to the day,
That in so scarce, so very scarce a time,
The all-mighty Love, our creed in life,
Would bear upon me, hearing our heart's rhyme,
Assuage assaults of passion's baleful knife,
Perfect care and clamouring love and joy,
For this soul aspires by passion borne,
Aloft in affection for a boy,
That doth foresee the wake of dawn,
Welcomed at end of dank night fathoms deep,
Resplendent rays of sun adorn the skies,
Strength of thee is one to keep,
In sickness and in health I surmise.
Megan Sherman Apr 2017
Because for you in Love I scribed,
     And now I chastened lie,
A bitter Truth I have imbibed;
Of how hearts come to die.
For metaphor of Love I yearned,
It's kin to stars' bright, zesty burn.

But don't be fooled to think that I,
Devote all I hath writ to you,
For man who stamps on butterfly,
Is not the one to woo.
I am a poet, touched by joy,
There will be another boy.
Megan Sherman Jan 2016
Sparrow, sparrow
in the air
wings like arrows
feathers rare

tuneful auras
shroud her song
a rhapsody
around, along

no gray reason
restrains rhyme
as it spills
throughout time

sparrow, sparrow
in the air
what wry spark
is hiding there?
Megan Sherman Feb 2017
People are fascinated by extremely beautiful things
Like me, I love the sweetest of the Sparrows who sing
In dulcet tones round Earth she resonates and rings
My hearts bliss she effortlessly brings
The sweetest of Sparrows on truest route
Goes sweeping, soaring at one in the Noon
Borne aloft on warm, gentle zephyr
Her exquisite beating heart abloom
Imbued with deep and luscious ember
That burned until her life's December
Her cosmic joy her tune remembers
Warbled out in divine timbre
Sparrow, Sparrow in the air
Wings like arrows, feathers rare
Tuneful auras, shroud her song
A rhapsody, around, along
No gray reason restrains rhyme
As it spills throughout time
Sparrow, sparrow in the air
What wry spark is hiding there?
Megan Sherman Mar 2018
Little sparrow - do not fly
But stay aside my stoop - and sing
Your warm - effulgent - songs of joy
That give your life - to everything
Sparrow - sparrow in the air
Wings like arrows - feathers rare
Tuneful auras - shroud her song
A rhapsody around - along
No grey reason - restrains rhyme
As it spills -throughout time
Sparrow - sparrow in the air
What wry spark - is hiding there?
Sparrow swoops - amidst the bloom
'Twas summer in the shires
At noon - a sight on which to swoon
On golden wing - aspires
Searching wide - for nature's boon
Blood run - with her fires
Bird wise - ancient - as the rune
Beauty sung to lyres
Megan Sherman May 2017
Betwixt the Loves I go -
Probing - for a Heart -
Dreaming, rocking to and fro,
For another start,

It is a cruel fate - I thought,
To be a woman lone,
But my sisters did not fight,
So I would atone,

For being unbecoming,
To a gentleman,
My sisters see a captive,
And encourage me to run.
Megan Sherman Feb 2021
To cry of Love like poets do

Is my aspiration, destiny

To sing of what's divine and true

Instinctual to me

My song shall weary world regale

Heaven's descant mine to wield

An augury the bards will hail

Its words to God appeal
Megan Sherman Sep 2017
Alight! Alight! Honeyed bow doth shine
Resplendent spark doth serenade the sky
As tender creatures flitting gaily by
Sight on which the saints and angels dine
An infinity in rings, hues unique
Envelop the weary world and ways
Beauty inspire worship of the rays
Shine forth from her, awesome nature freak
