This My Song
Megan Sherman Dec 2017
Many tears I've solemn cried
But in pain refuse to hide
Not for one who lied I lied
For I'm faithful; and have pride
In fathoms like ocean pure and wide
Decline the ticket for torment's ride
Though you will my hope to die
I can dream; I see the sky!
You sing a *******'s lullaby
And wonder why I'm mute and shy
Do you expect my joy enwrapt
For thee who my debasement clapped
Willed for me in torment trapped
Well try a bit harder perhaps!
For my mind's stronger than the tide
Have Heart and guts of queen inside
Fool takes me for a docile bride
To Hades, on a ghoullish ride
But to faith I abide
Commit to Heaven, not in hell's court tried
To righteousness I am allied
That light in me that never died
It was for Love the poets cried
Therein I free, my heart flied
I watched it soar with passion, pride
As I with angelic fate collide
Wended to freedom soared and glide
I am faithful, and have pride
You pray for bars behind my eyes
Forget that I can see the sky
Blessed by her enchanted shroud
My mind as lonely as a cloud
Blast by accusations loud
Is it me so vain and proud?
When vilest deeds on my mind crowd
And accusations roared and howled
But I am wed to brighter day
Unencumbered by insults you say
I do not see you on my way
With friends true I frolick, play
And soothe, assuage my sad dismay
For having been caged for the day
But to you I have never bowed
I have faith, and I am proud
Call me **** when I'm rare as earth
But Love will be found even in Love's dearth
For we her wisdom surely hath
Not embroiled in Devil's wrath
But you are faithless; also wrong
And did not account that I am strong
Casts words that render me as thing
But my mind hath meaning, and it sing
On golden wing aspiring
Grafting, never tiring
You try to rule me like Hong Kong
But your time's up; I've heard the gong
In my mind the love was strong
I am faithful; this my song

Against Violence
Megan Sherman Dec 2017
Sometimes when I, a little sad, become,
Accustomed to the tempo that you drum,
And sing along a lie of me; is sham
I hath resolve of one, and Lo of some

No time as bitter as that that thou reigned
Though only in my freedom it conclude
For I can harness my own interlude
In it I transcend spite, sully pain

If death becomes of me assailed by you
Yet undefined in life or memories
My loved ones saw me real, baby, in truth

Convinced of grandeur yet your dictum fail
Plant the seeds of evil Love uproots
This for angels, for always they prevail

Thee? Card carrying devil in cahoots
Who from the cache of freedom pillage loot
But this freedom I wear now I suit

a lennon lyric
Megan Sherman Nov 2017
Consumerism makes the world go round
Humanism buried in the ground
Evolution of revolution decays
Shamanism the forgotten ways
Hedonism the latest craze
World is drunk on death its end of days

Deliver us, deliver us, deliver us from sin
Lord show our hearts how to make peace
Shine a light, healing bright, purest white within
In us the love of life apace

In war prism the world is held
Makes a schism in the ground
Fire and brimstone raging in near east
World communism would do man proud
Not capitalism tryna sell the clouds
Peace on earth says ******* to the best

Deliver us, deliver us, deliver us from sin
Lord show our hearts how to make peace
Shine a light, healing bright, purest white within
In us the love of life apace

Megan Sherman Nov 2017
Once brigadier in evil empire new
Took with her Heart as sweet as sultry sun
Sees other souls as twins, yet one
Be guide by creed that hate in vain not knew
She walks in foregrounds noisy, sandy, blitzed
******* to God's sky, slightly apart
Sweet speech of peace spoke from a hearing Heart
Turns my own from forlorn blue to red
Beau not made for fetid empire's boots
For all she tires, not selfish needs
To wise to be conduit of empire's deeds
Aghast, in tears, at wily war cahoots
Nakedly brave she shames treacherous truths
Bared for all the world to see
When truth-tellers in fraternity
Unite to lay bare war's same forsooth
Perhaps example will teach us how
Us, deceived flock, fleeced and eaten
Us, cheering war sulphurous molten
Teach us to Love a sister now
She dances sober past those drunk on death
Those novices of life yet still to Love
Within their prison walls beau turtle dove
Did take flight yonder with laughing breath
So as she lives, she to love obeys
So when she's not she, she lives yet everyday

Buddha manifesto
Megan Sherman Nov 2017
Buddha wakes up bursting in to song
Effulgent with the love of life
A mind's expanse to suppress the throng
Of suffering to which all souls are wife
Seeing war a strategy of illusion built
Deceiving the divine dalliance of time
It functions in minds, yet beyond
Tyrants act and grown men mime
Dreaming, rocking to and fro
Dancing, clapping as they go
Children under the bodhi tree
Taste wisdom as it rains and snows
Their art is the joyful revolution
With yet withstand a cynic's trial
The intellect? a phony judge
The heart? compassionate of all
Propaganda of hate's reality
Yet heaped upon the ones who see
The way with theatricality
Go oppressors with conviviality
With the millenium's golden quill
I'll break devil's confraternity
With wanton wit and whimsical will
Spell peace in stars across eternity
Loves destiny to be immortalised sublime
In words that vanquish hell and transcend time.

i was haunted and stalked by a stare
looked up your email and it wasn't there
stone in my stomach as i think what you'd say
of my faith and ideas, want me away

and even though that reflex is so hard to break
at least your smile persuaded me of a mistake
did you see an angel cry with a heart pure?
sobbing silent as you swung open the door

my style is distance, running away
but that's not a problem when you want to play
with your ocean eyes, in your hideaway
we'll vanquish hell and seize the day

I am cherub sent to you
To make you smile and warm you through
Cheering up the life of two
Unite by things they love to do
Your lust grew and you knew how to woo
Thrill me with feelings unknown, new
Have me shy and when cry till blue
I'll stop for being near to you
And pine again, simmer and rue

easier and easier
to stack, control the city's blocks
hard to bludgeon with futile knocks
'neath sewers whir and whir

if it's true that robot's do
and raise the tyrant's game
revolution will be aflame
when singularity starts anew

because when we master a tool
and when we master our minds
consciousness in a flash expands
in cosmic flow of one and all

society is evolving because
seizing algorhythms is our cause
editing out the hateful clauses
freedom shines in history's dark pauses

Berry Blossom
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
It's time to get drunk on the heady lilt of spring
The elements in ecstacy, seduction of senses
Dreamy pastels, scattered soft and burnished
Bright like passion, Eostre ascendant
Irresistible insurrection of berries bloom like babies in the bushes
Alms at the altar of the goddesses
Purifying time's font
Way of the well worn track
Unencumbered by regimes
The berry blossom dances oblique in dappled shade
Half-shying from the day, and yet holds its neck
Under sun to honour publicly
A frolic that warms half of the year

Gold Leaves
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
Gold leaves, wisdom's currency
Meditation quickens their drift
Scattered fierce and flung far burnished
Bright in streams and dreams
We toss them in sacral fire
Their ashes incense carrying
Our hopes, yield to deeds
As we commit our element
Fire; peering in a soul embarks
On a quest to find its passion
An art adorned by lightning sparks
That make of peace an earth an oath
Hearts as kin in inviolate pact
To cry for love and so I it's love I cried
In fathoms like an ocean pure and wide
That from unchained heart liberal bleed
All hope for all souls to be freed
The innate tongue of the loving tribe
Whose intuitive passion I strive to scribe
Beneath the fulsome crescent moon
A pearl encroached by rubber treads
Yet still her wisdom
Like leaf gold,
Eternal, bold,
Truth can't be clocked and sold
But through time to sages yield
For the planes of magic they have tilled.
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
Should my wings yield before I soar
To irrepressible stealth of night
Sing for me to end puppet war
A paean of Heaven wrought
If feathers crumble, denuded of
Like Phoenix I'll return alight
Run like sun a whole not half
Graft on love's wing for earths plight
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
Ought my mind to stop in pain
Stupefied by barbs of lover of past time
I pray thee sing lullaby refrain
Ferry Heart to sultry, starry climes
Dreaming? Rock me to and fro
Saunter, simmer, Beauty mime
With you I'm forever seizing rainbow
When life denude of reason, being rhyme
Would my mood plummet, gray stone-cast
Bereft of cosmic flow of Love
Would you hoist passion to the mast
Walk softly to that golden grove
Antagonist of pure passion cast
In truest romance of the soul
Which isolate us in inviolate bond
Yet connect with eternity, one and all

Should my senses shatter, die
Encumbered by manacles that creep by stealth
Accompany the Lion's cry
Of deeds misdone when in bad health
It's rank hypocrisy to implore me see
And understand when there is dearth
Of ones own insight in to menagerie
Of me! I have insight enough, nay, in wealth!
Blooms, gestates, in girdling girth
Flowers of dignity be mine to hold
In streams of dreams and forest of gold
Bad rendered one D me versus my passion manifold
Lennon's mirror to Kali beat King Leopold.

This thing it feels
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
This thing it feels like dawn of love
A golden forest burnished pure
So harmony below, as above
An angel at my door
A peace in which I want to rove
Against which no quarrel, war
Charmed as a beau turtle dove
Irresistible to adore
Megan Sherman Oct 2017
I saw him not in suavest suit
For he is coy at a disguise
And disguise is mastery in that place
Infested by swarms of spies
Those wretched parasites on haunch
Of Beauty who inspires lullabies

He sauntered 'mongst that drifting crowd
In worksmen's clothes and cap
A pair of aviators on
To beguile the crowd perhaps
He cocked his head and stared at me
My heart swooped soared and clapped

I never saw a man so sweet
As he, eyes' charm potent, intense
Gazed upon this pilgrim rapt
Her heart filled with awe immense
And with every step her Love increased
Put past to reason, sense

I chained myself in soul and body
To him, my kinship flame
And was wondering if so his malady
Would become less tender, tame
When I sensed his drudgery, demise
Was a baron's law, endgame

Oh Lord! The very glow of Love
Seemed then to wither, die
And a chasm opened in my Heart
As wide and deep as sky
My soul was barbed with thorns of Christ
To think of Him with earthworms lie

To think of that Heart hunted, hung
In tyrants grim steel net
Sullied my very own with pain
Not even sight of him could abet
Dolorous I sobbed and screamed
Till my cheeks were red and wet

To **** the man who loved the world
So much he staked his soul
To bring down tyrants castle
Whose oppression the mind appal
But his heart forever beatific, bright
Have pilgrims rapt in thrall

That he loves too much may be his sin
Some others too little, theirs
Their truths sell at an ugly rate
His for free he shares
Knowledge for the masses true
Not a tyrants wares

And colours stream in dreams and beams
Suffice to infinite ignite the sky
Inspires hearts to soar, take flight
In a dance, daze, dream of divine revelry
That lift one wondrous out the fight
Of hurricane raging by

Irrepressible, that honeyed bow
Wends through sky, celestial arc
Through which the cosmic fires go
Imbued with bright celestial spark
Dreaming, rocking to and fro
See how we go, on Love's arc
Stealthy on wing like crow

And colours stream in dreams and beams
Shine in spite of sceptics faith
Blaze in spite of eyes embrace
Celestial crown perfect, sense no bars or seams
What fine art could frame the face
Of the ravishing rainbow supreme
Which lifts one after tumbling from grace
Like Dorothy back to Earth from the most seismic dream

Drifts deceptive midst us, deigning to

Creep by stealth on winds of day and night
Like rainbows that shine in spite of faith
They art a testament to beauty bright

In New Baghdad the empire's King
A stately edifice decree
Make civilisation ransacked thing
Riches rule dominion, no longer free
No flower dome like Fuller sketched
But concrete box for captive souls
Lost dream of heaven, fierce beauty etched
Times tyranny hath mind appalled
Sea neath stolen sun for which Coleridge wept
Jilted, jaded sky beat by flame that restore soul
Will back to glorious sheen be painted, swept
For life had been bought and bartered, to bosses sold

The flora couldn't grow uptight
Rains rusted the bars, didn't feed
The captive bloom bereft of light
Whose commute to mind tyrants did not decree
But astute hearts attuned to joy
And doth arsenal of Heart employ
Will seek logic of Love not to love logic
See instead intuitions awesome magic
Instructs not by diktat, edict but stokes doubt
In all we don't examine whilst devout

Natures truth defy skeptics scalpel
Underwritten by rhythms wide, galactic
When dissected her truth does fast unravel
Beauty subsumed to reasons tactics
If we let her in her awesome dress
Dazzle us her splendour teasing hearts
Away from hell hatred imparts
In to enchanted climes where epics start
All manacles will yield to strength
And sisters rove free at wanton length

In new Baghdad, the last King gone
But barons maraud with freedoms key
Whilst soldiers dumped on streets, help gone
And go to ISIS, so pledge "we"
How ever did this problem rise
Where people become pawns in the game
Which topples a collective sky
In which the future shines happily aflame
So alike, fake philosopher kings
They lied, pretended to be enemies
But both Blair and big brother have guerrillas as things
When we are all like worker bees!

The honey ours, not theirs to taste
Share with bears, they are our friends
Friendship must be nurtured, chased
Say sorry often and make amends
For tyrant has us thinking of
Our differences and faulty traits
When passions we share and interests hath
Solitary the soul who hates
Link arms, uprise against devils lies
Suppress hell with angels reprise

By Heads too cynical to see
My soul's flight - its dappled light

Insatiate of life - am I
And drunkard of the fire
Raging through the veins of creatures
Till they die - expire

When wizards who are self-elect

That ails a fledgling soul
'Tis dirge and not a melody

Betrays the people of Beauty, rare forsooth
People's wisdom doubted of its truth
When they the gift of Heaven duly hath
Forever incurring petty tyrant's wrath
The mannacles descend, and maim the mind
By devils with pretence they're so refined
They lead the lovers, whilst their own hearts blind

Sweet soar! The tyrants languish, left behind.

From immemorial time their lies assailed

See the lawmakers bring justice to her knees
Captive on their island on jaded seas
Too callous and remote to take her pleas
