In times of old, when Man was young and pure,
Nature ruled the Earth, triumphantly,
Man lived in peaceful condominium, until War,
Took over, tainted Man, took precedency,
The conquest of the commons by the Lords,
Oppressed the spirit of Democracy,
The common wealth was stolen by the hordes,
Of soldiers, who betrothed to Tyranny.

Stars, planets, galaxies and beyond
Divine creator beget his vision pure
To the design of Heaven correspond
The cosmos supreme is heavenly couture

The tapestry of time is stitched with care
The moment infinite, its blossoms rare
In deluges of light the stars sweet shine
Like candles soft in a celestial shrine
The planets swirl in divine symphony
Testament to God's ability

A soul is born in Heaven
Craft in celestial fires
Adorned with faith and Beauty
Suffice to be sung to lyres

The artist aspires to be fluent in divine fire
Harnessing heaven-sent power of the mind
To render images of Beauty refined
Which to the splendour of Heaven aspire

Their fierce visions of immortal forms
Yielded by labour to the canvas and the page
The most supreme visions remembered for an age
Their nascent art of devil's illusions shorn

Their bodies of work are cast in charming light
By the rays of Heaven's sun illuminated
Divine fire sets the human mind alight

What fine art could frame God's face
Divine creator, spirit true
And capture his immortal grace

From God he came, in fleshly form, and when
We understood so little of the divine
He came to teach us philosophy of Heaven
So all souls may rejoice in its fierce light again

In virtue awakened souls to their reward
For devoting life to pity, peace, compassion
At a time divine virtue was out of fashion
And power for its own sake was adored

I speak of Jesus, in his lifetime spurned
He preached the sublime heresy of Love
Invited us to walk in its golden grove

Praised for generations, borne aloft
By worship of his philosophy
He blesses, cherishes the devotee

I watch the sunrise with an eye
Accustomed to the light
Its Beauty dominates the sky
And is infinite

All heavenly things enthrall this longing mind
When grace in angels this lost spirit found
That tread upon a higher, holy ground
And dwell in Love, activity refined

For they are born and bred in the divine
Testament to the beauty of paradise
That with its splendour electrifies
The spirit, with Love intertwined

For sight of angels, borne aloft by God
Not oceans fathomless could quench the thirst
His creations I in awe applaud

To fly on wings of angels I desire
Our heavenly friends, alit by celestial sun
On blazing wings they graft, aspire
