DAY

Lo! As the mad and magical hour rise,
Sun rides gold chariot in to skies;
Spite of the reaper's darkling doom,
Have nature yielded, captive to a loom;
Brickwork and briar cage the rose,
Craves for heady freedom's fulsome throes;
How her buds swell, ripen and gestate,
With luscious lust for life insatiate.

MAGIC

And so, with God's wand,
Adorn me with sparks,
From curve of hand,
That carve time's arc,
Wild needs must ask,
For freedom, play,
In immortal furnace,
Of magic day.

Would a mind walk yonder,
Till, it reach light,
Gold bask in wonder,
Immortal delight!

Colour--streams of dreams,
Drift in to view,
Lucid on a beam,
Of splendid light hence flew!

World--how it blossomed
Life with Love replete,
Begets the journey:
For wanderlust feet.

I.

Magnificent Angel, wouldst thou ever tire,
From divine labour stoking heaven's fury fire,
Rest awhile thine mind with mortal, earthen kin,
Regale me with your godly revelries,
In which truth of Heart's magnanimity,
Where pure hearts 'twixt trials of time are twin.

II.

Then I shall fathom thy light, pure, good and true,
World more good for the guiding light of you,
-- Beacon's light spread by spirit's mimesis,
With those wings, doth dare and proud protect,
Love's plan, to which you genuflect,
The final purpose of your light's kinesis.

III.

I would not flinch from your sultry sight,
Adorned by sparks of brilliant light,
Raw cub of God with soul replete,
A door that's opened unto thee,
Not to be rescinded willingly,
Hurled to glory on divine feet.

IV.

If wishes ever granted, mine to dwell,
In aura of the Angel, splendid, swell,
As we, the cherubs, since long time ago,
Searching for rainbow, to and fro,
As our path takes us, high and low,
We, lived, felt love, but now we go.

V.

To truth, which rapture us in throe,
Sat brooding in desire and woe,
The flame of love be ours to stoke,
The right be ours to wield it high,
And swing it proud around the sky,
Its light resplendent and bespoke

Dearest, I did not think a year ago,
When through a throng I saw you sway,
Caught your eyes, majestic in their show,
And felt a brightness to the day,
That in so scarce, so very scarce a time,
The all-mighty Love, our creed in life,
Would bear upon me, hearing our heart's rhyme,
Assuage assaults of passion's baleful knife,
Perfect care and clamouring love and joy,
For this soul aspires by passion borne,
Aloft in affection for a boy,
That doth foresee the wake of dawn,
Welcomed at end of dank night fathoms deep,
Resplendent rays of sun adorn the skies,
Strength of thee is one to keep,
In sickness and in health I surmise.

Arise! For Thunder hurls the bolt of God,
Flings far the arrow Zeus alone had had,
And Lo! Promethea has gold bold caught,
The World around her clad in glow of Light,
Dreams of a Dawn when one hand stir the Sky,
And one below, to tend to fledgling cry,
'Fear not, my little ones, the future's sweet,
With Joy's liquor that never dries.'

Do it all, seize the day, my love!
Fly, soar, sail, climb,
Dance, sing, o fiery thing,
You've only one lifetime,
For wonder and discovery,
Joy the sorrow abets,
In raucous revelry,
Like gods cub cats.
