Greet each other,
With battered hearts
Bite my neck and say
"I’ll meet you after dark"

The night you finally
Took off your disguise
That night
I saw the demons in your eyes

King of kings
In your castles I could hum
Let me be your snow white
And I’ll make you so numb

Kiss my black lips,
And go for the ****
Take your mask off
Let yourself be revealed,
Let me see you for real

Full moon
And I’ll die for you
Take me in your darkness
And tell me what to do

Surrounded by bottles
Crying on the floor
And for each drop that falls
I’ll love you even more

Blood splattered walls
Your name, in the stains
I love you so much
It just flows through my veins

But you won’t believe me
So I’ll cut them in half
And drip out my love
We can take a blood bath

And finally for once
I’ll be nothing but numb
And it’s all thanks to you
…What the **** have I done…
To someone far away.
I have been
literally
thousands of miles.
I have made the west coast
from San Francisco to San Diego
my *****
for a month and a half.

I have hitch hiked with a gentleman
who shot a cop in the face
at 15.

and every time I looked
at that ******* water,
that tainted, sickening blue-green
the most gorgeous part of the planet
the only thing that makes California
******* California
every time
I saw your eyes.
He's nervous to meet me, he must be.
It's been twenty-one years.
Twenty-one years absent from the beat of my heart where his blood runs through-
I let him enter intravenously,
Because God told me to.
A poem
Is a
Poem
Is a
Poem
It's sweet
It's angry
It's kind
But in the end
It's mine
