Hell's demons are everywhere
If I could only convince you to see
Drinking gin and tonic with style
Sipping haughtily on lemon and tea

Their distorted evil frightening faces
Are masked from human sight
As they pass you with indifference
Grinning and nodding
Moving left to right

However
Without warning
As their vicious appetites call
Growing hungry for souls
In the silence of the night
They gobble up foolish sinners they encounter
That disappear forever from sight

So the next time you have the desire to dine in the  evening
Take a  moment or a second or two
Remember faces are not all they seem
A demon may be sipping a martini,
While smiling and sitting right next to you

On the rainy days,
     I sit and think.
About all the things going on.

And I sit and think more and more.

Till I can't go on.
Like how red and blue make purple.
How two people interact with each other.
And how much I miss having a boyfriend!

And then I sit and wonder.

About all the people in the world.
How they're all going on about their lives.
            How I'm just sitting here.

Then I think,
"I'm going to make a difference."
"I'm going to stop just sitting around here!"

And you know what I do?
*I go sing and dance in the rain.

Remember when we were young,
And played with "magic" sticks and could run and run?
When stones and grass were treasured riches,
And when life wasn't full of glitches?

Remember when the adventure was what we were to create,
And when we were so hard to agitate?
When fights started in haste,
Over the others so named poor taste?

Remember when we had imagination,
When the world was of our own creation?
When life was a game,
And there were monsters to tame?

Remember when color was such a simple thing,
Fun to splatter and spill over everything?
When art was a dollop or a splash of paint,
When creativity had no restraint?

Remember when worries weren't real,
When no one ever seemed to **** or steal?
When life was a fake,
An impostor, a feint?

Remember when living,
Wasn't so bad,
When freedom was real,
When happiness wasn't sad?

Remember when pretend was true,
When life wasn't living and when we had nothing to do?
When if the bad guys came to steal you away,
Your friend would always and up saving the day?

Remember when we were young,
And played with "magic" sticks and could run and run?
When stones and grass were treasured riches,
And when life wasn't full of glitches?
Not very good, I'm still editing this one.

You know those tears you get
When you can't stop laughing
Because you don't want to
And they just rest on your cheeks
Until you finish your laughter
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you watch a sad movie
And you feel like the characters are real
Even though they're not
And the tears just rest by your lips
Until the movie is over
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you say goodbye to a friend
And you don't want them to go
But they need to go
And the tears just rest on your chin
Quivering
Until the dust settles
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you walk down the aisle
And everything is perfect
When love is beautiful
And the tears just collect on your eyes
Until you need to blink
And you wipe them away

You know those tears you get
When you remember yesterday
And you wish it were alive again
But it isn’t
And the tears just fall to the ground
They soak into the Earth
And you can't wipe them away
