LONG before he was born with hope
playing on coasters in the sun
a childhood of adventure and light

his best friend passed
his life in question
his reason lost

haircut bad
wearing pajamas to work
not bathing
and never the same

the lost man
shirt too tight
life not bright
lost in the tide
depression

Adults not too fun
serious and dark
live small and closing
choking the life from the cell
no where to turn maybe a cigarette
or liquid dreams but no where good

God is gone and no light
leaving the world blast off

crazy holding
logic gone
life ebbing
living is anger
til the end

Moments of now
the reality of life
hungry and needing
the beautiful and ugly
eternity in a flower
all encompassed in the beauty
never ending
oneness

I mourn those that I leave behind
crossing the river
a life on the other side
a new love
