Looking in the mirror
Wanting to end my life
Blackness befell me
Wrists I cut with my knife.
The blood oozed out
Upon the bathroom floor
Was my death to be unseen
Behind a closed wooden door.
Three weeks earlier my lover
Had died,
I worshipped that woman
Thousands of tears I cried.
Bereavement of a love one
Is so hard to take
So slitting my wrists
Was not worthless mistake.
Some people say it’s a
cowards way out,
But you know what
I haven’t got to live with that.

The bench of forgetfulness
Resides in the park
People sit reminiscing
In the light and the dark.
Thirty five years it
Needs a lick of new paint
This bench has heard
the stories some are so quaint .
Proposals of marriage
Heartache and pain
Stories of bravery
And some that  are inane.
A name appeared one day
Someone had died
The bench of forgetfulness
Looked like it could cry.
People would sit and
Forget all there woes,
This bench would listen
As the warm wind blows.

Hooking every
Diamond geezer
This lovely lady
This  eyeball pleaser.

Always smiling
Always funny
No need for credit
No need for money.

Eyes so blue
Lips so red,
Every diamond geezer
She willing to bed.

Dresses so stylish
Oh so chic
Natures beauty
Natures freak.

Long blonde hair
A smile to cherish
Loving Medusa
You will surely perish.

I dance with my shadow
Im so ******* alone
I feel like a skeleton
Stripped to the bone.
My emotions are in turmoil
I fight to stay alive
I need someone to love
So I can thrive.
Where do’s  someone play
When avenues  are closed
This is the conundrum
When life is froze.

You come around
Just once a week
And I love it,
It’s the company
I seek
and the
Smile on your face,
Every time you
Visit my place.
You are a treasure
I pay for the pleasure
Im in pain it’s
Pleasure I seek
At least I feel human
Once a week.

I helped you up
From a nasty fall
Lucky for me
It was a good call.
It’s not daft
as it seems
I had met the
Woman of my dreams.
Three boys two girls
We had created
Our perfect world
The children would play
Under the sun our
Lives abound with
So much fun.
Then came this twist
Of fate
Christmas Day that was
That terrible date
Presents were being opened
Seeing who they were from,
Ten seconds later all killed
From a bomb.
Didn’t see that coming
On our headstones said why
I never told my family
I was living a lie,

Etched in our faces
The life we played
Everything was loving
never afraid.
Hand in hand we lay
In the sand
Listening to music
From our favourite band.
Couple of old rockers
On beater blockers with a
Smoke and a drink
Etched in our faces
We are living  life
And then it’s over
In a blink.
