I came from a village
Very small
24 houses I do recall
Man and wife
Lived in every house
With every child
There lived a mouse
Every father had a hat
Every family had a cat
We all lived side by side
Like arsenic and cyanide
At the time of writing it
Seemed so apt
It popped into my head
To shoot the cat
I don’t wear a stupid hat
Nor do's molly my lovely cat

I’ve walked
Many a mile
Looked at faces
Not a smile
Is life really
Such a grind
People are lost
Nothing to find
All looking inside
A mobile phone
You Say hello
You might get a groan
All seem to be in a
World of there own
Thousands of likes
But there all alone
They will not know
The colour of skies
Awareness is dead
As Mother Nature
Cries

Ten years
Dogs in tow
England was
My picture show
Highest peaks
Fantastic views
Tired legs
Worn out shoes
Three of us
Washed in lakes
Broke the law
Made mistakes
Fallen asleep
Peculiar places
Spoken to people
With friendly faces
Towns and cities
Passed us by
Freezing nights
Have made us cry
Through the darkness
The day gives us light
Through all the wrongs
We’re still going all right.

Seeking lyrics
To make a song
Looking for a stave
Where I belong
Looking for notes
For lonely hands
Looking for a friend
To join a band
Seeking someone
Seeking sound
Seeking mornings
Seeking nights
Making music
Seems so right.

Popped out to buy a paper
Returned five days later
Met a woman in the street
Very elegant very sweet
Woman with a lovely smile
In her company stayed awhile
We talked about our lives
How in life we did survive
We drank a lot and got
To no each other it was
Very pleasant now hard
To recover.
The twist is the best bit
I had met my mother

You came to me
Bolt out of the blue
With manipulative
Words I love you
You played my heart
Tinkered with my soul
You gave  me life
It was rock and roll.
You made me cry
You made me laugh
We ended up on a
Exciting path
Together as one
We would dance all night
The stars would shine
The loving was right

When one was a child
Many a thought
Never listen to father
Wrongly taught
Values were wrong
Society to blame
He hated his son
Because  I played
A different game
Father could not see
Passed his wretched nose
There was no seeing
There was no prose
He took his shallowness
To his resting place
Sometimes It is hard being
a member of the  human race
