Awkward

We stayed up later than late,
Talk about what we hate.
Dancing in the parking lot where there was no music on.
That time that we almost kissed.
And I regret that I missed.
How we used to be friends and now we don’t talk.
And I’m sorry,
That I’m so awkward…
Combination of different 'relationships' that went horribly, *horribly, wrong... At least I can look back and laugh at them!
We are a moment of awkward eye contact
         and sweaty palms;
All the tension of the world
      weighing on feeble shoulders.

I'm not sure if we're going anywhere,
Or if we're already where we need to be.

Walking past you in the hallway,
Always makes me
              Think.
There's something beautiful about freckles and blemishes and imperfections before I'm made up in the morning. There's something right about naked in the mirror; flaws and scars and age that accumulates with the years. I am a story to be read. I've got skin like a song.
Cleaning out the poems/notes in my phone. Confidence is ****.
