2017.
in love with a boy who will soon break my heart. fills the void with a boy with the same name, soon learns they’re only ever meant to be friends. has fun with a boy you never dreamed you could have. then give up that fun for a chance at a relationship, later to find out that you’re only being used. moves away to start over with new friends and new school and hopefully a better life but cannot stop looking back on the past. the year is 2017.

I love beautiful things. and even if you don't admit it or say it, you do too. because everyone does. and I when I think of you and cannot help but think of the crashing waves coming down onto the coast in the early morning fog, or the way the sun goes down and changed the sky oh so beautifully. when I think of you I think of everything beautiful I've ever seen. I think of the Milky Way in the dark night so purple and faint in some places but so dark and bold in others. I think of the Columbia Gorge and the vista house as beautiful in the night as in the day, so amazing and breath taking. I think of the redwoods, evidently, the biggest trees on earth thousands of years old and yet still one of the prettiest things this earth has to offer. but when I think of you I think of the most beautiful set of big brown eyes I've ever seen, and the messy hair to go with it. when you see something beautiful you want to hold and treasure it forever, but you can't alway do that so you let go but it'll always be there in your mind just where you left it, with every other beautiful think you've ever seen. when I think of you I think of something beautiful.

Tens of millions of men, women and children murdered
But what do we care?
Genocide-systematically killing, ******, and harming
But what do we care?
We say "never again" that turned into "never again, again"
And twenty-thousand children born for one-hundred days of forced pleasure
Families ripped apart, homes destroyed, and ******-******
We say it but do we get it?
Do we really GET it?
Do we really grasp the fact of people's lives being ended forcefully for no other reason than someone "disagrees" for no other reason than someone's "different
But what do we care?
Blue eyes, blonde hair, bright skin to the right
Brown eyes, black hair, dark skin to the left
Those on the right go home,
Those on the left no longer have homes for concentration camps are now their homes
The sent of freshly brewed lipton tea has now been replaced by the harsh fumes of zyklon-B
Unsure of their next meal, if you could call it that at all, unsure of their next beating, the next time they'll be *****, unsure of what'll be theirs last breath before death
Feeling unsure and not secure
But please tell me, what do we care?

— The End —
