A country tale from round these parts
Concerning potatoes none too large
Now over the hedge as he rode by
Old Dibber had a little spy

There was his neighbour, fork and all
Digging up spuds, but they were quite small.
With a cheer he blurted out
"Your spuds aren't much to shout about!"

Quick and sharp came the retort
"They're made for my mouth ba, not yours!"
ba = boy
This is my attempt at a re-working of an old joke, inspired by Raj.
The sun rises,
The mind sets.
The laughter fades,
The tears stop,
The yelling calms,
The stress evaporates
And here, lies a blank, soulless, slate.

You told me I was your
terra firma
because you could always
count on me to be there
when even you
didn't want to be there

I relished the fact that you
would consider me your
anything
let alone something
that sounded so strong and
beautiful

Your extraplanetary misadventures
in love and lust and
all things fleeting
left your wobbly legs aching for
solid ground

But you should know
I'm here to hold you up
not for you to
walk all over

mads
Sink your teeth
deep into my innocence,
on your plump lips
does it taste devine?
Just like this heart of mine?

Drink up the grease
of guilt and lies
I dare you, I dare you!
It'll mix with yours
just fine.

**** my wasted kisses
from the tip of my tongue,
they always lingered there,
Scrape them off with a razor
put them in a jar.

But leave my heart,
leave it dead and black
inside me.
The title has nothing to do with the poem, but its all i could think of.

I tried and tried
to write a poem today
but
all my efforts
came to naughts,
so all I have to show for that
is simply
this

.
Lost in myself, I cannot feel
Control I aim, I stumble and fall
Believing you, that's why I lose
Emotionless, I'm falling apart

Reaching for you but falling through
Confused I am, I'm losing ground
Embraced by you in my own mind
Holding on to the sweet beliefs

Calling out my own reality,
Screaming out all my fears
Overwhelmed by all insanity,
Sacrificed a thousand tears

Calling out in pain my weaknesses,
Fighting to get back whole
Overwhelmed by madness,
Lost in the darkness of my soul.
To all the lovers of the world
Lucky enough to unite,
Pull your loved one close
And hold them tight.
As long as you have love
Everything will be alright.
To all who have a warm body
To lay beside them through the night,
Know that you are lucky beyond compare
To have someone to share the fight.
If you are blessed to find this kind of love
Make sure you treat them right.
Just remember that in matters of love
Things are seldom black and white.
