Look at you
So easily lying and fibbing
Like a naturalist
It makes me cringe every time you
Tell that same lie
Over and over and over again
"You did well"
"You are amazing"
"I like you a lot"
My only option is to smile with my
Broken teeth and bleeding gums
Ravaged by the bones I have been cracking on
"Stop lying to me"
I try and scream but absolutely nothing comes out
Why?
Because I have gotten so used to the
Shattered glass of untruths that
The crunch of it underfoot and the zap
Of it in my skin has completely gone
Away
So all I can think is
**My, What Big Lies You Have
i was once colorblind
everything i see was in gray
but once your lips touched mine
i now see in multi-color

so this is blue
so this is red
so this is yellow
but of all the colors i see
i love your color the most
Do not stand at my grave and weep..
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star-shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry..
I am not there. I did not die.
We were strangers when it was we first met
From the far corners of the world
All that we have in common
Is our love for the rhyming word

This is where we find ourselves each day
On this  Poets Corner at any given time
Enlightening each other as it's meant to be
With our mastery of rhyme

Not one better than another
Each unique in our own way
The way it is we use our wit
And what it is we choose to say

When there's joy we all join in the laughter
When there's sorrow we share in the cry
Here on this corner we gather together
Intersecting with each others lives

With our hearts and our souls laid open
For all of the world to see
We are so different yet so much the same
On this corner where friend's and poets all meet
